Performs real time chart audit/chart compliance as instructed by the department manager/team lead.

Notify consults of the need to see a patient by managing consult system list in Epic.
Inventory unit specific equipment daily (teleboxes and cables, spectralinks).
Cleaning of equipment (Dinamaps, IV pumps) as may be assigned.
Cleaning of utility rooms and supply rooms.
Restock isolation cabinets and supply carts.
Round on vacant rooms hourly and complete log.
Notify EVS if needed to clean.
Hang new rounding log weekly.
Performs other related duties as assigned and requested according to unit specific practices.
OB Department Specific- Accurately complete and enter infant birth and death data in the state electronic birth/death certificate logs.
Complete Paternity affidavit and submit to Board of Health and electronically submit to the state as required.
Accurately complete deliver log and nursery log that are maintained on the unit.

Requirements for Summer 2026 Student Nurse Intern Program (SNIP)
Enrolled in an accredited pre-licensure registered nursing program (bachelor's or associate degree program) with an expected graduation date of Dec 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027.
Verified academic standing by submission of unofficial school transcript, minimum GPA of 3.4.
Have a strong desire and intent to join the Good Samaritan nursing team post-graduation.
Be able to work 30-40 hours (8-hour to 12-hour shifts) a week for the duration of the 8-week internship, including night shift.
Attend all days of required orientation. An orientation is scheduled during the week of the start of the program for those new to Good Samaritan, if unable to attend a prior orientation offering.
Selected applicants can transition into the year-round Student Nurse Extern program and will also receive the Good Samaritan Foundation Nursing Scholarship upon successful completion of the internship. This $10,000 scholarship supports the completion of nursing curriculum, provides a paid NCLEX Review and NCLEX exam fee, and includes a two-year work commitment to Good Samaritan Nursing. All hired interns who complete the program successfully will be awarded this scholarship.
