A portion of the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) of this position will be dedicated to administrative and leadership activities as detailed below. In addition, the CCBHC Medical Director will also independently provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care to adults within the CCBHC, to include psychiatric evaluations, development of treatment plans, prescription of medications, and other appropriate therapeutic interventions with a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care. This role requires strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated behavioral health care for patients. Monitors for therapeutic effectiveness and side effects, adjusting treatment as needed; Therapeutic Interventions : Provides brief psychotherapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and supportive therapy, especially for patients with mild to moderate mental health conditions; Crisis Intervention : Manages acute psychiatric crises, including risk assessments for suicide, self-harm, and violence. Coordinates appropriate emergency interventions, such as hospitalization or referral to a higher level of care when needed; Follow-Up and Monitoring : Conducts regular follow-up appointments to monitor progress, adjusts treatment plans, and provides ongoing support.
