This technician will be qualified to support our airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients. Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician. Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures. Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards. Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew. Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members. Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team. Position Summary: In this position, the team member will operate all terminal equipment to distribute the cargo safely and efficiently to the appropriate cargo holds or warehouse as per the operating plan and instructions; Operate as a member of a team, responsible for coordinating information flow between each crew member and location staff/management in the receiving and loading of cargo. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Performs a wide variety of tasks involving mobile and fixed equipment operation, conveyer systems barge un loadings and vessel loadings. Assist operators and maintenance personnel. Work under direct or indirect supervisor. Operate D6, D10 dozers, and large front end Loader to build and maintain piles of coal and petroleum coke in line with management pile size instructions. Know and use established safety rules and regulations including “lock out- tag out” procedures. Responsible for checking equipment for damage or repairs needed and reporting information to Maintenance Supervisor or Terminal Manager. Make regular inspections of the transport systems and perform minor maintenance tasks such as adjusting and lubricating equipment, cleaning, washing, testing, replacing filters, hoses, and other minor maintenance as necessary to maximize port systems availability and reliability. Performs minor maintenance tasks such as repairing, adjusting and lubricating equipment, gauges, valves, hoses, and etc. as necessary to maximize machine availability/reliability and assist maintenance personnel as required. Complies with all procedures to ensure governmental, state, and company certification standards are met. Performs all duties assigned by the Shift Leader(s), Operations Manager(s), and Terminal Manager to make sure port operations continue without interruption. Ensure that safe equipment operating conditions are met before and during operation. Works closely, as needed, with flaggers when making lifts or rigging equipment or material. (100 Tons with towing endorsement considered on a case-by-case basis) Valid TWIC Valid US Driver's License Previous experience as Master of a twin-screw tug engaged in fleet work Excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively/efficiently with crew members, shore staff, customer, and line handlers via VHF, email, and/or mobile phone Ability to get along with crew members in confined quarters for prolonged periods of time Must be able to direct, evaluate, and correct performance of subordinates Ability to adapt to a variety of schedules and hours Ability to work 2 weeks on /1 week off schedule (unless otherwise agreed), around the clock shifts and holidays and weekend. Willingness and ability to be flexible and creative Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook), PDFs, HELM, and use of associated computer, printer/scanner, and work mobile phone. Physical Requirements: Physical Must meet “fit for duty” requirements upon job offer (pre-employment physical and drug test) The employee must meet physical requirements including but not limited to, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing up/down ladders and stairs, negotiating uneven and moving surfaces Must be physically fit enough to pull heavy lines/hoses, lift, carry heavy items, climb onto barges and up and down ladders. Must be able to work in difficult conditions with exposure to all weather conditions (rain, ice, snow, wind, heat, etc.) Must be comfortable working aboard boats and barges using heavy lines, winches, and mechanical tools for repairs Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at protected heights up to 160 feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
