Responsibilities
* Teach no more than 9 credit hours per semester. Areas to be taught include, but are not limited to: academic success, self-advocacy, student-centered planning, executive function, employment exploration, acquisition, and retention.
* Instructors will need to be available for consultation with students before and after class.
* Instructors will need to be available to meet with the IHES team for collaboration for student success.
An affiliate faculty member's duties may include but are not limited to:
* Teaching assigned classes in person or online by delivering course content to students
* Preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading student work, providing students with robust feedback in a timely manner
* Addressing student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies, and providing online or in person academic support to students as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment
* Providing instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if required, with department course coordination policies
* Complying with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies
* Applicants may be asked to teach in person, online, or in hybrid capacities dependent upon course needs. The ability to adapt and learn new modes of instruction, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL), is necessary

Terms of Employment
Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per credit hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for benefit coverage under the University's benefit program. All such teaching assignments are dependent on budget and enrollment.
Qualified candidates will be expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire.

Position Summary:

The Chief of the Office of Simulation Education will lead the development and operations of the simulation program at a newly established osteopathic medical school. This includes standardized patient (SP) encounters, high-fidelity mannikin-based scenarios, procedural skills training, and coordination of interprofessional simulation events. This position will work closely with clinical and pre-clinical faculty to ensure that simulation experiences align with the educational goals of the curriculum and reflect best practices in health professions education.
Applicants will have a background in medical education, with strong organizational and leadership skills. The position includes supplemental teaching in clinical labs and/or case-based learning settings, oversight of simulation center operations and personnel, budget management, and contributions to student assessment and faculty development.

Job Duties:
Simulation Program Oversight (50%)
* Maintain, budget oversight for the simulation center as aligned with UNC COM priorities and submit budget requests at least annually.
* Plan, schedule and manage simulation activities (to include, but not limited to, standardized patients, high fidelity mannikins, task trainers and virtual simulation software).
* Supervise simulation staff to include technicians and standardized patient personnel, through hiring, training and termination.
* Work with UNC COM Information Technology staff to maintain simulation center readiness for training, including simulation center assessment software.
* Oversee the maintenance of simulation operations and equipment readiness.
* Maintain, current and accurate inventory of all simulation-related equipment and software.
* Managing and track applicable warranties on all simulation equipment and software.
* Manage simulation equipment vendor relationship in coordination with the UNC Facilities Department and the Office of Purchasing.
* Estimate wear and tear costs and depreciation of use of simulation equipment.
* Determine purchasing needs for future equipment.
* Work with other faculty to create simulation cases for high fidelity mannikins, standardized patients encounters and virtual simulations.
* Evaluate opportunities for future external simulation training opportunities in addition
to College of Osteopathic Medicine students.
* Identify and develop methods to design and build future procedural task trainers in-house at the UNC COM.
* Assist other faculty in designing and supporting OSCEs and simulation-based student assessments including grading and remediation planning ensuring assessment reliability and standardization.

2025-26 Practicum/Seminar/Small Group Pay Structure
For groups of 6-7 students with no co-leader, compensation is as follows:
* Fall Quarter: Instructor receives 5 credit hours of pay, reflecting the extended calendar required for the TDR during this quarter.
* Winter Quarter: Instructor receives 4 credit hours of pay.
* Spring Quarter: Instructor receives 4 credit hours of pay.
* Co-Leaders: Credit hours are divided equally among co-leaders for all quarters.
* Instructors will be paid an additional .5 credit hours per student when enrollment exceeds 7 students in the group.
* If seminar groups fall below 5 students, the seminar will be dissolved in the following academic year, and students will be reassigned to other seminar groups to adhere to the stated group size goals.

The CWLC is part of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), the University's largest unit.
Housed in the CWLC, the first-year language program (FYLP) offers study in nine languages and aids students in experiencing the world through the lens of an acquired language, and in understanding cultures -their own and others - from a position different from their primary language and cultural identification. The linguistic contribution to intercultural competency - that is to say, understanding another culture in the language of that culture and not just through the translations and perspectives of a mother-tongue and culture - is integral to achieving personal, social, and professional successes in a multi-cultural and global future.
Position Summary
The CWLC at the University of Denver seeks to hire adjunct faculty in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. Adjunct faculty will teach 4 credit-courses for the first-year language program (1001, 1002, 1003). These are part-time positions.
Teaching load could consist of 1 to 3 sections of the same course per quarter based on candidate's availability and departmental needs, for up to 6 sections per academic year. The ideal candidate demonstrates experience in teaching the first-year language program, versatility in inclusive pedagogy, and proficiency in communicative, task-based teaching methods. Candidates who demonstrate potential for teaching excellence will be strongly preferred.
Essential Functions
* Job requirements for undergraduate classes include teaching a 10-week course on campus in 4 sessions of 50 minutes each per week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
* Creating lesson plans
* Holding weekly office hours (either on campus or potentially virtually via Zoom video-conferencing depending on circumstances)
* Collaborating with colleagues on assessment creation
* Evaluating homework, quizzes, and exams including those for program assessment
* Participating in group meetings and training led by the First Year Language Program Coordinator and the CWLC Director
Required Qualifications
* Master's degree or ABD in language to be taught, in Second Language Acquisition, or in Education. Closely related fields will be given consideration as well.
* Native or near-native fluency in language to be taught and English.
* 1-2 years of previous teaching experience in the United States.
* Evidence of a commitment to incorporate teaching methods to engage diverse student populations effectively.
* Evidence of teaching using task-based, communicative methodologies which prioritize student-student interactions.
* Experience or willingness to learn course management systems such as Canvas.
* Availability to teach classes "face-to-face" in physical classrooms at the University of Denver.
Preferred Qualifications
* Ph.D. in language to be taught, in Second Language Acquisition, or in Education. Closely related fields will be given consideration as well.
* 3 + years previous experience teaching a university-level course as the primary instructor, especially with courses from the first-year language sequence.
* Experience working in a team, or under leadership of a coordinator.
* Experience managing a course via Canvas.

The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2025-2026 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Teaching and Learning Sciences department, Curriculum and Instruction program. Courses may vary. Essential Functions
Course Adjunct Faculty Responsibilities:
* Teach graduate level courses
* Collaborate with faculty course lead to adapt and deliver course;
* Create and maintain course Canvas container;
* Meet with students as needed
* Respond to student communication in timely manner;
* Assign papers, exams and other deliverables as appropriate;
* Grade in a timely manner
* Maintain regular communication with the faculty lead, particularly if a student related issue arises
Required Qualifications
* Masters or terminal degree (depending on the course)
* Teaching experience in K12 setting OR higher education
* Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
* Teaching experience in both K12 setting and higher education
* Experience with inclusive pedagogy and commitment to diversity
* Experience using technology to facilitate adult learning
Work Schedule
The University of Denver's regular operating hours are 8-4:30 PM. Actual schedule will depends on course(s).

Course Rate

Position Summary
The Department of Human Services and Counseling at MSU Denver invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position centering on excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service. This is a 9-month faculty appointment beginning January 2026 (preferred) or August 2026. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester which includes assignments in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
The successful candidate will teach across multiple delivery formats including in-person, hybrid, and asynchronous modalities; teaching may include evening, weekend, and online courses with on-campus teaching required each semester. The role also includes advising students in areas such as academic planning, addiction credentialing, graduate school preparation, and career exploration. Additional responsibilities include active service to the department, college, university, and broader community; engagement in scholarly activities that contribute to both academic and professional communities; and cultivating partnerships within helping professions at local, regional, and national levels.
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in mental health and addiction studies and the ability to teach across courses in that content area. Candidates should also demonstrate experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to students of color, first-generation college students, individuals with disabilities, students across the gender and sexuality spectrum, and students from a range of socioeconomic contexts.

* Maintain licensure or certification as applicable (e.g., LPC, LAC)
Required Qualifications
* Earned doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision
* Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) credential
* Minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health and/or addiction counseling
Preferred Qualifications
* Three or more years of direct clinical experience in mental health and/or addiction counseling
* Current CAS (Certified Addiction Specialist) or LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor) credential
* Demonstrated success in teaching, preferably in a higher education setting
* Experience working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Salary for Announcement
The salary range for this position is $62,000 - 67,000 at Assistant Professor rank. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training.
