Education Requirement

Years & Experience Required
Minimum of five (5) years customer service experience, preferably in an incoming call center environment with an emphasis on reporting and analysis utilizing spreadsheets and databases. Experience creating reports and analyzing data using MS Excel.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Knowledgeable of MSSSQL, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills. Understanding of reporting in an Inbound agent environment. Knowledge of Call Center technologies (CISCO, WFM, CRM). Bi-lingual skills helpful. Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, high demand, and fast-pace environment. Basic Function The Light Rail Train Operator Trainee is required to complete the training class to be become a full-time LRT Operator. Upon successful completion of training, the LRT Operator Trainee will become certified and reclassified to the position of LRT Operator. Reporting and shift times, as well as days off may vary during the training process. Responsibilities and Specific Duties
* Operates a motorized sweeper vehicle on assigned routes and schedules.
* Maintains accurate daily records of all work performed, to include road hazards such as abandoned vehicles, tree clearances, and pavement conditions which may have impeded sweeping operations.
* Maneuvers sweeper along the street near the curb to clean streets and gutters, operates controls to activate brushes and water spray for the removal of dust and pick up of litter, refills machine water tank as necessary.
* Performs general equipment servicing, cleans motor sweeper; checks for broom and regenerative blower system; reports mechanical or other equipment problems; checks and fills oil, water, and fuel.
* Checks tires, lights, reflectors, mirrors, radio, and gauges on the sweeper before operation; fills water tank.
* Makes minor adjustments to the sweeper on the route; reports damage requiring extensive or complex adjustments or repairs; washes and cleans sweeper at end of shift.
* Reports mileage, water source/consumption, number/location of dumps and other operational details.
* Cleans and pressure washes rail platforms and stations, shelters, park and ride platforms, transit center platforms and bus stops.
* Maintains, cleans and removes trash, graffiti, human waste and dead animals from rail platforms and stations, shelters, park and rides, transit centers and bus stops.
* Performs flagging duties along METRO Rail system to ensure safe train movement.
* Provides excellent customer service to METRO internal and external customers.
* Applies SMS (Safety Management System) methods and principles in daily routine and supports all aspects of the agency's Public Agency Safety Plan (PTASP).

Knowledge & Skills Required
Requires a Texas CDL Class B Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement and must meet METRO's requirements regarding motor vehicle records. Good verbal/written communication skills.
