What you'll do:
Lead Enterprise Architecture Design: Lead the technical design and oversee implementation of all on-premise and cloud environments, working with development teams to define architecture solutions that balance business capability, performance, resilience, cost, and compliance.
Cloud Strategy & Migration Leadership: Guide modernization and hybrid-cloud strategy; design and oversee cloud migrations (OCI, AWS, Azure), ensuring alignment with Marine Corps policies and operational readiness.
Mentor and Guide Technical Teams: Provide hands-on coaching and enablement to engineering, sustainment, and development teams, especially around Oracle EBS R12.2, OCI integration, and DevSecOps best practices. The Technical Lead serves as the “Chief Unblocker” for the development teams to ensure they can deliver functional and non-functional requirements for the product.
System Sustainment Engineering: Oversee solution stability and continuous optimization across environments using IaC, automation, and system telemetry
Interface & Integration Oversight: Architect and troubleshoot external interfaces, data integrations, and internal customizations to ensure continuity, performance, and auditability.
Innovation Enablement: Champion emerging technologies (e.g., containers, serverless, AI/ML), technical studies, and pilots aligned with U.S. Marine Corps Force Design 2030.
Security & Compliance Assurance: Collaborate with cybersecurity leadership to ensure solutions are FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL5-compliant.
What you'll need to succeed:
Active DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 10+ years of experience as a solution architect or technical lead
Deep hands-on experience with: OCI, AWS, or Azure cloud architecture and migration, Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code deployment models (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps frameworks
Experience supporting large-scale ERP modernization and system sustainment programs
Experience refactoring applications into container-based solutions
Extensive leadership experience managing and leading multiple cross-functional development teams in an Agile methodology
SALARY RANGE: $197,000 - $206,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
Performance-based bonuses
