Reporting to a FieldService Manager, a FieldService Engineer Level 1 will maintain technical responsibility over the Mevion Medical Systems Proton Therapy System. A FieldService Engineer Level 1 will learn and become proficient in operating the Mevion Medical Systems Proton Therapy System (PTS) for various customer needs and related work functions. A FieldService Engineer Level 1 will regularly interact with the customers' professional and technical staff to resolve all operational issues with Mevion products at customer sites.
Essential Functions:
1. Operate Proton Therapy System, which will include, but not be limited to: Troubleshooting, Post Service Testing.
2. Provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site operation, corrective and preventive maintenance of proton therapy equipment and ancillary devices.
3. Clearly communicate the status of the system to the customer as well as to Mevion employees.
4. Work on other highly complex clinical systems related to the Proton Therapy System, including Motion control systems, CT Scanners, X-ray and Radiological technology devices and robotic manipulators directly at the customer site.
5. Ensuring that Proton Therapy (PT) devices are performing according to specification. Monitor daily treatments and system performance and identify any corrections or improvements the system may need. Reporting and documenting all complaints and key performance indicators of the PT device.
6. Ensure equipment/systems are working properly with the required level of compliance/quality/technical performance/customer satisfaction.
7. Maintain equipment/systems according to the maintenance schedule.
8. Troubleshoot PTS equipment including electrical, mechanical, and software problems.
9. Repair equipment/systems taking all necessary actions to solve problems.
10. Report and document interventions and actions undertaken with the required level of details and accuracy in accordance with facility, RA/QA and FDA regulations.
11. Meet appropriate key performance indicators (throughput, customer satisfaction, uptime…).
12. Maintaining a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness according to Mevion guidelines in order to perform activities under the safest working conditions.
13. Maintain a clean working environment and behavior in line with the safety and regulatory rules.
14. Maintain calibrated equipment and tooling according to specifications.
15. Maintain on site inventory and other part management duties.
16. Other duties as assigned by Service Management.
Education, Training, and Experience:
1. Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, or other related field preferred, or 4-6+ years of technical experience in the Military or equivalent (i.e. Electronics technicians, mechanics, etc.)
2. Experience with radiation therapy equipment is a plus.
3. Electronic/Electrical and Mechanical ability.
4. Experience working with computer interfaces, instrumentation, and control systems.
5. Preferred experience with proton systems
6. Strong interest in new technology and learning new systems - continuous learning curve.
7. Sound computer usage and debugging skills.
8. Knowledge of networks and networking techniques
9. Solid understanding of imaging systems
10. Experience with SalesForce or equivalent CRM product and productivity software desired.
11. Experience with troubleshooting and data analysis techniques is required.
12. Medical Physics experience is a plus.
o Experience with dosimetry hardware & software.
Familiarity with the following is a plus:
1. Cooling systems, cryogenics, vacuum systems, PLC's, regulation loops, drivers, sensors, electric motors, high voltage equipment, low voltage equipment, etc.
2. Mechanical system repair, maintenance and operations of large systems.
Must have the ability to learn the following within the first six months:
1. Learn the operating principles and service techniques for the subsystems of MEVION equipment.
2. Become proficient in all software, control system elements and user interfaces to the MEVION systems.
3. Understand the electrical, vacuum, and water cooling systems of MEVION equipment and Hospital infrastructure for the MEVION equipment.

9. The employee will work with hazardous material, radiation producing equipment, high magnetic fields, high voltages, compressed and liquefied gases, and radioactive materials.
10. This position involves occasional exposure to high magnetic fields and routine exposure to magnetic fields above 5 gauss. Individuals with pacemakers, automatic defibrillators, or similar implants are physically disqualified from this position. Individuals with other implanted metallic materials must be considered on a case by case basis, per medical advice from the candidate's physician and company policy.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
High school diploma or GED required
2+ years of work experience, including at least 1 year of relevant experience*, or 1 year of experience at STERIS. All experience must be verifiable.
Must be able to meet flexible schedules with early/late hours and occasional overnight/out of state travel, based on Customer and business needs.
Must be able to pass a DOT medical/ physical exam and comply with all DOT regulations.
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (CDL not required) and maintain required vaccines.
Ability to drive DOT regulated vehicle and conduct basic box truck safety checks.
Must be at least 21 years old to meet the FMCSA age requirement for commercial interstate driving.

What is relevant work experience?
Hands-on repair, assembly, or product testing and use of small hand tools is a plus. Examples are small engine repair, cell phone and electronics repair, testing, or re-builds, carpentry, circuit board assembly and repair, sterile processing, industrial sewing, and jewelry repair. Maintenance, construction, welding, fabrication, and automotive repair can also be relevant.

Pay range for this opportunity is $24.00 - $27.00/hour. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Job Overview
Performs repair and calibration of all products & assemblies to meet customer requirements in a timely manner. Assists with conducting failure investigations. Assists with testing and packing of circuit boards and sub-assemblies to maintain adequate stock levels.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
* Troubleshoots products, sub-assemblies and circuit boards to ensure timely, accurate and complete failure investigations of product returns leading to root cause and corrective/preventive action.
* Generates appropriate service documentation and enters service orders through the ERP System
* Identifies complex failures and recommends solutions; provides Failure Reports to QA/RA when required; notifies QA of defective parts and failure documentation for applicable reworks.
* Repair and replacement of appropriate parts after thorough troubleshooting
* Complete product training and certification programs prior to working on specific medical equipment.
Minimum Requirements
* Technical school degree (AAS) or equivalent in electronics preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years troubleshooting experience to the component level.
* Must have basic computer knowledge.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Must have the ability to read and interpret schematics.
* Must have the ability to use test equipment.
* Must have good communication skills.
The pay for this role is a minimum of $36.00 and a maximum of $40.00 per hour.

Responsible for ensuring complete and timely resolution of Client Service issues and acts as a backup to the Supervisor. Acts as a liaison between the client and the IT department. Attends key meetings and interfaces with department heads in order to help improve IT relations and facilitate issue resolution by serving as an escalation point for unresolved issues. Responsible for managing the Client Services ticket queue and assigning tickets to PC Techs and IT Associates as appropriate; coordinating the delegation of projects and tasks.
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through the completion of an Associates degree and two to three years of previous work related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and prior experience. CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) certifications preferred.
