Meyer Distributing benefits

There are none. Poor benefits, and poor pay since they lie about job classifications. Very rarely we have a lunch catered by the vendors, that's as good as it gets.

Cons of working at Meyer Distributing

There is no growth opportunity for most positions. Benefits are bare minimum in that they meet the absolute minimum requirements based on federal, state, and local requirements. The benefits are subpar in that there are many other local businesses that pay better, offer more PTO, and give much better insurance/benefits options. This company is owned by people solely concerned with lining their own pockets.

Pros of working at Meyer Distributing

None. Terrible benefits and below average pay. All complaints to HR are routed right back to the dept head so you can be retaliated against.

What do you like best about Meyer Distributing's CEO and the leadership team?

The CEO knows how to grow the company and make it successful, however uses this to line his own pockets. Zero employee appreciation and it loudly shows. He also knows how to use his familial political connections which are the real reason for the company's exponential growth, CLASSIC AMERICA.

How would you improve Meyer Distributing's culture?

Develop actual career paths for all jobs, not just warehouse and drivers. Correctly classify all jobs based on EEOC classifications. Stop classifying Professionals as Office Admin to get away with paying less, which should be criminal.

How did you prepare for the Meyer Distributing interview?

I did not prepare at all. I came to open interviews and was hired on the spot. The turnover rate is so bad they welcome anyone who walks through the door. They also make sure to keep job duties very vague so they can change them and add more to your plate upon starting the job.

How does your compensation at Meyer Distributing compare to the industry average?

I am paid significantly below average for my industry, years of experience, and qualifications. Along with 75% of the other employees that work here.

What's the diversity at Meyer Distributing like?

So poorly it's laughable. Leadership is middle/late aged white men and the rest are middle aged white women. There are a couple of people of color who have climbed the ranks, but not many, and none are at headquarters. The racism is palpable.

What brings you the most joy at Meyer Distributing?

The people I work with and around and when a project benefits employees. Zero credit to the employer, they should truly be ashamed of themselves. Hell is hot.
