General Purpose

$20- $28 Per Hr Plus a 15% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift

Essential Duties and Tasks:
CBN (cubic boron nitrate) plated wheel grinding radial.
Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.
Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.
Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes.
Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes.
Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications.
Perform Deburr operations to within specified tolerances.
Operate overhead crane when necessary.
Report proper labor hours in the ERP system.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Capable of running multiple machines, when assigned.
Demonstrates the ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally.

What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the 2nd Shift TIG/TAC Welder is responsible for manual TIG welding of production parts and/or TIG repair of rework parts while maintaining quality and production standards. The main tasks of the role are the following: produce parts by loading and positioning component(s) into the weld fixture and welding components together using methods/equipment defined in operator work instructions and standardized work instructions. Perform detailed (final gauge, bend gauge, hand-held gauges, etc.) dimensional inspection when necessary to determine the quality of the part. Communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.

TIG/TAC Welder
Weld, assemble, and repair production parts to specified instructions to predetermined dimensions and tolerances
Daily use of welders, hand benching tools, and grit blasters
Perform deburr operations to within specified tolerances
Correctly record and track job-specific welding wire

Team Owner Operators average $275,000 to $325,000+ on less than 110k miles per year
Solos: Guaranteed minimum weekly average: $3,500/week worked (most earn $3,750 - $4,250+)
Teams: Guaranteed minimum weekly average: $5,000/week worked (most earn $5,500 - $6,500+)
