Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in metal inspection. The ideal candidate will perform detailed inspections of fabricated components, including first article inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections. Candidates must be able to interpret engineering drawings, use standard measurement tools, and identify non-conforming parts. As part of the interview process, applicants will be asked to inspect sample parts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections
Inspect materials sent to and received from outside vendors (plating, painting, secondary operations)
Verify parts and assemblies match blueprints, specs, and applicable standards
Identify and report any non-conforming parts; complete discrepant material reports
Maintain accurate inspection documentation and records
Ensure measuring equipment is properly calibrated and documented
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to address quality issues
Respond to customer and vendor quality inquiries, including RMAs and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external quality standards

Skills/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
3-5 years quality inspection experience, preferably in metal fabrication
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Experience with First Article Inspections and standard measuring tools
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
A bachelor's degree in Engineering or quality engineering is a definite plus
Familiarity with Shop Tech, Pro-E CAD, and ISO standards
