WHAT YOU WILL DO
Interface with internal sales representative and wholesalers providing appropriate firm, product, performance and other data on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
Schedule and coordinate with both BOA's and Financial Advisors to attend large events, meetings and ad hoc requests from external wholesalers to make scheduling calls.
Initiate and follow-through on problem resolution and information requests.
Once fully licensed, respond to inbound telephone inquiries from financial advisors regarding MFS products and services and financial market related questions.
Creates sales leads for all distributions channels by providing information on MFS while engaging the advisor with appropriate questions to uncover more sales opportunities.
Strong understanding of portfolio construction, MFS products, and ability to explain over/under performance as it relates to over/underweight of sectors, industries, and basic attribution analysis.
Assists with backup support in absence of internal wholesaler includes making thank you calls, assisting with service matters and various related external wholesaler tasks.

Base Salary: $60,000.00 This position is eligible for competitive commission pay.

THE ROLE
The Investment Product Competitive Analyst supports the Global Distribution sales teams in growing and retaining assets. Additionally, the Competitive Analyst supports the Defined Contribution (DC), Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), and product leadership to provide actionable insights on competitor strategies, market dynamics, investment trends and investor perspectives across the retirement landscape.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Competitive Analysis:
Act as an in-house expert on external databases (e.g., Morningstar, Brightscope, FI 360, Strategic Insight, eVestment) for competitor research.
Monitor, analyze and synthesize competitor activity across the DC and RIA markets. This includes reviewing DC investment menus, glide path features, active/passive trends.
Develop and produce reports on MFS's sales, redemption, and flow trends. Track the product positioning, performance drivers, fees, flows and distribution strategies of major DC/RIA competitors as well.
Evaluate trends in the ETF market, including:
Growth of active ETFs and their role in retirement portfolios.
Implications of ETF adoption in the retirement landscape (costs, liquidity, plan menu construction, etc).
Provide regular and ad hoc analyses of MFS's competitive position, particularly in the DC market. Analysts provide timely briefings on industry developments, regulatory changes and plan sponsor behavior.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with internal and external sales teams to strengthen DC and RIA sales efforts.
Partner with Product Management as needed to assist with analysis of our strategies against competitors and provide insights on the evolving role of active management in plans.
Act as the key contact for external sources regarding MFS product performance and address related issues.
Establish competitive intelligence contacts to gather additional information.
Process Improvement:
Develop, automate and maintain recurring competitive intelligence data (monthly/quarterly) and ad hoc analysis used by sales leadership, global product and investment teams.

THE ROLE
The Investment Marketing Writer is an experienced financial writer who develops high-quality, insightful content that conveys MFS' investment expertise and insights. This role is integral in developing content for global marketing initiatives and MFS' thought leadership. Along with expert writing and editorial skills, this position requires an understanding of financial markets and investment products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Leverages writing expertise and knowledge of investment products and financial markets to produce high quality editorial content, providing input into the editorial strategy and broader Creative Services and Marketing strategies.
* Translates complex topics into clear, compelling and actionable content appropriate for each audience and aligned with MFS' brand.
* Develops, writes and edits marketing content including marketplace insights, corporate and product marketing materials, retail investment insights, white papers, brochures and flyers to support firm-wide and business channel campaigns.
* Supports MFS' digital platforms by writing original content and re-purposing existing content for web-based and social media platforms.
* Provides editorial consulting to internal groups in the form of copyediting, proofreading and project management. Helps ensure that MFS' voice and editorial style remain consistent across the firm.
* Collaborates with other teams within marketing, such as design, video, social media, paid media and client marketing, as well as Sales Enablement and other internal teams to ensure timely execution/production of marketing collateral to promote and position firm-wide enterprise themes internally and externally. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* BA/BS, or equivalent experience, in English, Economics, Finance or Marketing.
* Understanding of financial markets and investment products
* Minimum of 6-8+ years of professional writing experience, including at least 5 years of writing experience in an asset management company, or an agency serving the investment industry.

What you'll bring to the role:
BS/BA degree required.
A minimum of 7 years of related experience, preferably in asset management with experience working in portfolio or fund accounting.
Experience across a broad spectrum of portfolio types: Separately Managed, Sub-advised, Funds (e.g. Mutual Fund, OIEC, etc..).
Experience with middle office operations including but not limited to trade settlement, IBOR/ABOR, transaction lifecycle events across spectrum of asset class (equity, fixed, derivatives), cash and position reconciliation, performance reporting.
Experience with accounting systems; preferably Aladdin

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $156,000 per year at the commencement of employment. At MFS, we believe in fair and transparent compensation. For that reason, we're including the salary range for this position. This range reflects our good-faith expectation for what we'll pay depending on the candidate's experience, training and education. In addition to the salary, we also offer significant and competitive incentive compensation based on both individual and company performance. Other components of our Total Rewards Package include:
MFS contributes an amount equal to 15% of your base salary to your retirement account that is separate from the company -sponsored 401(k)
Education Assistance: MFS contributes $100 monthly up to $10,000 lifetime maximum directly to loan provider
Education Assistance: Tuition reimbursement up to $8,000 annually
