In my experience, the cons of working at Tranzact were many! The company is deceptive about everything from your interview onwards. You are lied to about job security, deceived into believing you can make tens of thousands of dollars selling Medicare policies during AEP, gossiped about, not given sufficient training before being thrown into AEP, talked to like your stupid when you ask a question, told when you can go home each day when your performance manager decides "you're good to go", given one on one coaching regarding areas that you need improvement in the day before being told that you are written up (for not meeting your sales goals), then demote you- giving you impossible goals to meet so they can justify terminating your employment. And if you are let go early or leave voluntarily, you have to pay back what it cost them to train and license you, and the bonus money that you earned for any policies that you sold that stayed in effect over 90 days, they keep after you are terminated! And the phones are set up so the best agents are the ones that get the incoming calls first, making it even harder to meet your goals!

I thought the pros of working at Tranzact were a hybrid work schedule, the free coffee and tea bars in the breakroom; catering on in-office work days during AEP; the relaxation/game room, free midday chair yoga and meditation breaks on Zoom, game days in office with prizes. It could be a fun place to work.

In my experience, the compensation at Tranzact compared to the industry average is abissmal! The agent bonus for the sale of an insurance policy was $10 before taxes. And the tax rate for the bouses is 30%! We received after taxes $6.69 per sale.

Leadership is very plugged into business goals and is very effective at communicating them to employees and explaining the "WHY" behind the things we're doing. I always know what is expected of me, and my manager meets with me regularly to check in on my work and overall well being. TRANZACT is fast-paced and hectic at times, but the company always makes time for fun, connection, and learning. Everyone's ideas are listened to and leadership seeks out ideas from employees at all levels. I'm never afraid to voice my opinion or share an idea. The environment is friendly and positive.

Great coworkers who are friendly, positive, motivated, knowledgeable, and flexible. People here are always willing to lend a hand even when its not a task they would normally help with. Apart from the people, the work is challenging and keeps my skills sharp while allowing me the flexibility to have a strong work life balance.

Like many businesses we do have a busy season, and during that time the day to day becomes very fasted paced. For some people, this may be hard to managed or might not be there preferred working environment.

One of the best perks at Tranzact is the holiday party! We have a fabulous party where all the offices meet in the NJ office have a delicious dinner and dance party. It is a great time to see people in person you wouldn't normally see in person!

Andy, the president, is extremely knowledgeable. I've worked with other CEOs and leadership teams that are too far removed from the processes and day to day of the business. Although he is busy, he manages to be tapped in and have fruitful conversations with all areas of the business frequently.

The company culture is great, but it might be beneficial to have more opportunities to get to know people in other offices. While the holiday party is a great time to do this, it would be great to have senior leadership come to all the offices 1-2 times a year.

For the interview, I reviewed my resume and elevator speech. I also looked up reviews about the company, LinkedIn profiles of people who work/worked here and spoke to a former collogue who worked here. Lastly, I reviewed questions I thought I would be asked during the interview.

It's hard to find one as I really enjoy working here. If I had to pick one, I would say that some teams tend to be disconnected from others and out of the loop from certain workflow processes.

I think the culture is great, however again I think that some teams tend to be isolated a bit more and it would be good to integrate a little bit more so that everyone has a better understanding of how other individual roles relate to one another.

The bulk of or problems are what happen when you work with other people in a heavily regulated industry. People often change their approach with feedback. The only serious complaint I have is that our Legal team seems to ignore Tranzact's principles, and is often dismissive to the point of rudeness.

Salaries are not competitive, 401k is not great and it was actually made worse in 2024 because they started holding all 401k matches until the end of the year which means you cannot invest during the year

In my experience, my comp has been on the lower end of the industry average, but not below. Once I brought this to the attention of my manager, though, efforts were made to rectify the situation. And the bonus is part of the total comp which brings the total compensation to in line with industry averages.

Across the organization we have a lot of diversity in race, gender, and religion. I don't think every office is as diverse as some, but on the whole it's very diverse. The leadership team has a lot of women as well.
