Chief Executive Officer & President
Tranzact offers exclusivity to everyone and opportunities within the organization for growth and career advancement.
The workload can be a lot.
The team!
They communicate openly and keep everyone informed on changes and updates.
I will implement organizational initiatives across the board to ensure everyone has a nice work-life balance.
I did research on the industry and more in-depth research on the company's culture and values.
It's competitive with the current industry.
TZ goes above and beyond to have diversity and you can see that in the people that they hire. Everyone has equal opportunity.
Hybrid schedule.
Leadership is very plugged into business goals and is very effective at communicating them to employees and explaining the "WHY" behind the things we're doing. I always know what is expected of me, and my manager meets with me regularly to check in on my work and overall well being. TRANZACT is fast-paced and hectic at times, but the company always makes time for fun, connection, and learning. Everyone's ideas are listened to and leadership seeks out ideas from employees at all levels. I'm never afraid to voice my opinion or share an idea. The environment is friendly and positive.
Upward mobility can sometimes be difficult for non-people managers. Lack of fringe benefits compared to other local companies (summer Fridays, fully remote options or commuter benefits, tech stipend)
Generous vacation time + encouragement to actually use it. Annual bonus. 401K match.
They are transparent, reasonable, and approachable.
We used to have more offsite team lunches and team building events. I would like to see more of those.
1. Fully researched the company to familiarize myself with what they do and what value I could provide to their business 2. Researched common interview questions and practiced my answers aloud 3. Thought about my own deal breakers ahead of time, so I could determine if they were a good fit for me. An interview goes both ways.
Above average
Overall it is pretty good. On the leadership team it is lacking.
Having fun with coworkers and working as a team. Celebrating our successes both big and small. Cake.
Great coworkers who are friendly, positive, motivated, knowledgeable, and flexible. People here are always willing to lend a hand even when its not a task they would normally help with. Apart from the people, the work is challenging and keeps my skills sharp while allowing me the flexibility to have a strong work life balance.
Like many businesses we do have a busy season, and during that time the day to day becomes very fasted paced. For some people, this may be hard to managed or might not be there preferred working environment.
One of the best perks at Tranzact is the holiday party! We have a fabulous party where all the offices meet in the NJ office have a delicious dinner and dance party. It is a great time to see people in person you wouldn't normally see in person!
Andy, the president, is extremely knowledgeable. I've worked with other CEOs and leadership teams that are too far removed from the processes and day to day of the business. Although he is busy, he manages to be tapped in and have fruitful conversations with all areas of the business frequently.
The company culture is great, but it might be beneficial to have more opportunities to get to know people in other offices. While the holiday party is a great time to do this, it would be great to have senior leadership come to all the offices 1-2 times a year.
For the interview, I reviewed my resume and elevator speech. I also looked up reviews about the company, LinkedIn profiles of people who work/worked here and spoke to a former collogue who worked here. Lastly, I reviewed questions I thought I would be asked during the interview.
My compensation is at or above average.
We have a diverse organization. We have different cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, genders, religions, ages and parental statuses. As someone in a minority group, I feel represented and that I can be myself without fear.
What brings me the most joy at work is the opportunities to learn and grow. In my time at Tranzact, I've been able to grow my skillset tremendously. This has been made possible by having coworkers who are willing to sit down and do trainings and share their best practices in their roles.
In my experience, it has been difficult to advance in my career.
I like working for a progressive company that encourages individuals to be authentic and knowledgeable.
Working from home. It is a true blessing and it has helped me be so proactive.
I have had little interaction with the CEO but the few times I have had with wih, he is distinct and he seems hard to approach.
I would implement a new HR program. The current manger of employee development is aggressive and rude.
I did research and I looked at what other employees had to say about the company.
It is competitive.
It is good.
Working from home and having a direct manager who is real, progressive, smart and involved. He is also willing to stick up for his team.
Very corporate.
The culture is fantastic, and I appreciate their commitment to diversity and inclusion. The principles really mean something here. Leaders really care about the people and the work, making Tranzact incredibly open and collaborative.
The bulk of or problems are what happen when you work with other people in a heavily regulated industry. People often change their approach with feedback. The only serious complaint I have is that our Legal team seems to ignore Tranzact's principles, and is often dismissive to the point of rudeness.
Honest answers, no buzz words. Willing to say, "I don't know, let's find out." I have never had leadership put their foot down and ask for something stupid.
Acting faster when people aren't living our principles.
Going in cold.
The compensation is about average.
Tranzact's commitment to representation is commendable.
Tranzact lets me do my job and leverage my expertise without handcuffing me to an metrics or standards. I feel great that Tranzact trusts my input and values my contributions.
The people I work with.
There's been a culture shift recently that I'm not a fan of. There's a big focus on hustle and getting things done rather than finding the best answer or solve for what we're trying to do.
More focus on our customers (treating them like people rather than leads), more encouragement of cross team work.
transparency and availability
I'm at right around average
There is no support for trans people at the company. The workforce has become more racially diverse in the past year, which has been exciting.
Collaborating with my brilliant coworkers
Pros include working with incredibly smart, creative, funny and flexible people, as TZ hires colleagues who can fit well with our BE REAL culture.
Fast-paced schedule of seasonal sales requirements leaves less time each year for personal development and innovation. The company is working hard to carve out more intentional space for innovation and growth, however, while we still must perform given our industry timelines.
8 weeks parental leave
The President, COO and leadership team are straightforward and are genuinely interested in connecting with colleagues at all levels across the organization. They are also supportive of any and all innovation ideas.
Broaden our headcount for more effective channel management given the breadth of work each colleague must undertake. We should also continue our shift into wider cross-channel and cross-vertical collaboration.
I studied the technical aspects of my initial position and familiarized myself with the company goals, leadership and broader competitive marketplace.
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe I'm paid roughly alongside or just below industry averages for my role.
People of all demographics are welcomed and championed at TZ. Your results and your positive attitude matter at TZ much more than any demographic you happen to have been born into or have chosen for your personal private life.
Enjoying time with my colleagues on office days and during company celebrations like the summer party and the annual holiday party.
Endless opportunities to grow in your skillset and career. Awesome people that are passionate about what they do and the market we serve. Fast-paced environment that is never dull!
Heavy workload in certain periods of the year that seem to expand each year with increased goals.
The money.
Our CEO truly cares about the colleagues of TRANZACT, is approachable and respectful.
More perks for the colleagues to enhance their work life balance.
I spent a lot of time on the TRANZACT website to learn about their people and culture.
I think it's on par.
We could use more diversity on our corporate teams. The Leadership team includes some exceptional women. If you look at our company roster as a whole, we are very diverse.
Woking on challenging and rewarding projects that impact colleagues across the company.
Everyone is smart and hardworking, and I have real friends here. I enjoy my coworkers and can trust them to get the work done. Leadership is open to input and they're good people who care about the people who work here, not just the bottom line.
Every season can be busy season. It keeps things from ever getting boring, but it requires a very strong work ethic to keep up.
Hybrid work model - I love being able to work from home three days a week. I also love our bonus structure - it's fair and substantial.
They care about the people as individuals and are good people. They're smart and open to suggestions.
Fewer meetings
Research the company, understand performance marketing, be yourself, and be up to date on marketing trends.
In my experience, my comp has been on the lower end of the industry average, but not below. Once I brought this to the attention of my manager, though, efforts were made to rectify the situation. And the bonus is part of the total comp which brings the total compensation to in line with industry averages.
Across the organization we have a lot of diversity in race, gender, and religion. I don't think every office is as diverse as some, but on the whole it's very diverse. The leadership team has a lot of women as well.
I love the people I work with so much. They're the reason I enjoy the work that I do.
