THE STARTING RATE: $14.02 plus tips THE DAY-TO-DAY: * Stay informed about daily specials, in-house groups, occupancy levels, table and seating arrangements, proper table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, menu offerings, and dress code. * Greet guests warmly and promptly as they arrive. * Answer phone calls and maintain the reservation list. * Ensure menus are up to date and replace any that are worn or damaged. * Communicate guest needs and feedback to the kitchen and management, assisting as needed to ensure smooth operations and quality service. * Regularly check on guests waiting to be seated, keeping them informed and engaged while they wait. * Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, and properly close down the host stand while forwarding phones to the voice loop at the end of the shift.
