Job Description
Your Role: Material Handler
MGS has an exciting opportunity for Material Handlers to support operations at our Richfield facility. This role is essential to ensuring the accurate and timely movement of materials, components, and finished goods throughout the production floor.
What You'll Do:
As a Material Handler at MGS, you will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing and assembly operations. You will prepare materials for press start-ups, move work-in-progress (WIP) to and from automated assembly cells, and manage the flow of materials in and out of the cleanroom. Responsibilities also include cleaning equipment, removing excess or unused materials, and ensuring the correct materials are ready and available for production.
Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Reviews materials list and prepares materials to ensure materials are ready for press start-ups.
Ensures packaging and any additional materials are at the press for start-ups and throughout the job.
Communicates updates to the cell and with previous and following shifts the status of presses.
Transfers completed pallets and removes garbage and scrap from the cell.
Participates in Line Clearance process ensuring all packaging and materials put away back in inventory.
Label all dryers with a Material Identification Tag(s) and verify they match the BOM.
Clean the dryer, grinders, and conveying equipment completely during changeover activities.
Perform dryer preventive maintenance.
Clean all material areas at the end of the shift.
Counts, weighs, and verifies raw materials.
Follows surge bin connection instructions.
Verifies that product being moved has a move ticket.
Be a backup for the cell as needed, which may include running a press.
Any other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Our 12-hour rotating shift schedule means you'll work approximately 75 fewer days per year compared to a traditional 5-day workweek - giving you more time off without sacrificing full-time pay.
12-hour shifts (6:45am-7pm or 6:45pm-7am)
2-2-3 rotating schedule = 3 days one week, 4 days the next

Play a lead role in setting, monitoring and presenting EHS metrics.
Carry out investigations into any accidents and near-miss incidents that may occur; record and report on findings as required; notify management of all matters reportable under the appropriate internal and external reporting systems.
Review and analyze reports of accidents and near-miss occurrences to make recommendations that help prevent reoccurrences. Identify, implement and monitor the effectiveness of any corrective / preventative actions that may be taken to prevent reoccurrence.
Build relationships with key stakeholders to foster support for EHS processes and programs.
Work closely with all levels of management to promote safe manufacturing practices, procedures, and proper use of equipment and facilities, responding appropriately to any concerns raised by team members in relation to EHS in the plant.
Coordinate, prepare and deliver EHS training for employees; both internal and external as required.
Support Global EHS initiatives by participating and leading action plan generation and monitoring of EHS related projects.
Provide new hire orientation outlining the Company's expectations regarding safety rules and regulations.
Integrate and partner with the EHS team to promote a proactive safety culture focused on incident prevention, risk reduction and regulatory compliance.
Organize and participate in safety team activities.
Develop specific EHS objectives and create action plans to meet those objectives.
Maintain, review and report EHS performance, identifying opportunities for improvement along with implementing preventative and corrective actions as required.
Conduct internal EHS audits to ensure regulatory compliance.

Facilitate containment activity with Operation personnel.

Support new product introduction activities as needed.

Maintain awareness of current nonconformances and internal production issues to aid in investigation and corrective action plans.
Ensure QC group priorities are set appropriately to meet all required dates (NPI, in-process inspections).
Represent QC in plant cross-functional problem solving or CI activities.
Identifies QC team members ready for additional training, responsibility, or project assignments.

MGS has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our MGS Richfield Manufacturing team. The current opening will train on an 8 hour day shift and then will move to either an 8 hour 2nd or 3rd shift role.
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at MGS, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility and grounds as well as performing tasks related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, environmental, and safety at the MGS Richfield facility.
Below are additional duties and responsibilities:
Coordinates and performs all facilities work related to the building maintenance.
Maintains facility by closely monitoring equipment and completing necessary testing as required.
Maintains accurate records of all maintenance repairs and performs repairs as needed.
Actively uses the IQMS Work Order system and provides good details on work performed and parts used.
Keeps building safe by ensuring that it meets building code requirements.
May be involved in coordinating construction projects, remodels, and other special projects.
Promotes a positive team attitude with employees, vendors, and customers.
May assist with supervision of contractors and vendors as they relate to maintenance.
Develops and maintains a relationship with all contractors and vendors ensuring efficient facility operations.
Maintain procedures for handling, storing, safekeeping, and destruction of hazardous materials.
Maintains and ensures the MSDS documents are accurate.
Regularly inspects internal and external facility for areas of concerns that need to be addressed.
Any other duties as assigned.

A qualified Facilities Maintenance Technician candidate would fulfill these requirements:
Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, in a related field of study, or a four-year university program, in a related field of study and two to five years related experience, or accrued on-the-job training and experience.
Ability to perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
LOTO and Forklift certification required.
Understanding of basic hydraulic and electrical systems along with proper safety issues.
Understanding of electrical and hydraulic prints.
Understand and utilize general safety knowledge within the work environment.

MGS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automation Technician to join our MGS Germantown team. This is a 12-Hour Night Shift Opportunity.
As a Automation Technician at MGS, you will support end of arm tooling (EOAT), robots, and automated assembly machinery as well as provides input for improvement processes in a manufacturing environment.
Below are additional duties and responsibilities:
Know and follow all of the Company's safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
Serve as a good role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others.
Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Performs robotic programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
Support automated machinery production runs by solving technical issues.
Responsible for training on assembly machines and robot set-ups.
Ensure that work instructions are up to date.
Order parts and materials as needed.
Troubleshoot assembly equipment and other machinery including but not limited to pad printers, sonic welders, heat stakers, and hot stampers.
Identify unsafe equipment and ensure that equipment operates safely prior to line start up.
Set up robots, EOAT, conveyors, degators, secondary equipment, etc.
Build fixtures, guarding, etc., as needed.
Document robotic application development and maintenance. Create backups to robot programs and parameters.

A qualified Automation Technician candidate would fulfill these requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Completion of an accredited two-year technical college program, or a four-year university program, in a related field of study is preferred.
6 - 10 years of experience in related field.
Fork truck and Lock out Tag out Certification.
Familiar working with conventional manufacturing equipment such as milling machines, lathes, saws, hand tools etc.
Demonstrates abilities with 6-axis and SCARA Type Robots (Fanuc).
Toolmaker/Machine Builder experience is a plus.

The Senior Toolmaker is responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of molds. They provide expert technical guidance to toolmakers, resolving mold-related issues promptly and effectively.
Below are additional duties and responsibilities:
Trouble-shooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of plastic molds and hot systems.
Daily use of toolroom equipment such as a mills, surface grinders, and lathes to facilitate mold repair or improvement.
Repair or request replacement parts, tooling or hardware as needed to maintain replacement inventory.
Set-up and operate all hand-tool equipment along with manual toolroom machines.
Coordinate with our internal new tooling group for specific operations or needs.
Understand and usage of toolroom inspection equipment as required.

A qualified Senior Toolmaker candidate would fulfill these requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship (Journeyman card) is preferred and/or 5-7 years of on the job training and experience.
Experience working with plastic molds preferred.
Experience with repairing and preventative maintenance of molds.
Troubleshooting and reverse engineering experience.
Experience with toolroom equipment such as CNC mills, manual mills, surface grinders, and lathes.
Experience working with hot systems preferred.
Basic understanding of injection molding process, equipment, and materials.
Lock out/Tag out and Forklift experience.
