Serving the underserved; working to make a difference in tandem with families. It's truly a joy to see the growth in a family unit from dysfunction to healthier communication and making measurable progress.
Team members who get upset that you "create more work for them" and management who picks and chooses what rules to enforce and upon whom, based upon personal favor (friendships outside of workplace, popularity). Many employees who work really hard are undervalued and managers take credit for ideas of their own team members instead of giving credit where credit is due.
Gas reimbursement for all the driving I did in my personal car.
You get to work with a lot of vulnerable populations and make a difference in their lives.
You only get to make a difference when Executive Leadership isn't sinking the boat. Based on data here as well as other sources, it seems Executive Leadership likes to pay themselves more than they're worth.
