To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Field Service Engineer - Remote (Atlanta area).
Reporting to the Director, Field Applications the Field Service Engineer- Remote (Atlanta area) is responsible for providing service and support at customer sites located throughout their assigned territory.
What a typical day looks like:
Provide installation supervision, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work for low voltage
distribution gear, transformers, and related power distribution equipment in a professional way.
Prepares technical reports/test sheets, monitoring of spare parts, tools/equipment, consumables, etc.
Maintain and follow safety regulations for the company and the specific sites where working.
Attend all appropriate site meetings.
Interfaces with Project Management and Site personnel.
Provide excellent customer service to clients, listening to and addressing their needs and/or escalating
their needs through our organization for resolution.
Communicate on a regular basis with Project Managers receiving and relaying information.
Proactively works to eliminate waste and adds value to all processes.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and perform work practices that are safe.
Adhere to company policies and rules.
Additional duties as required.
The experience we're looking to add to our team,
Education to the Associates level in electrical power distribution or related field and/or 5+ years of similar work experience in a related field. Military experience is preferred. Data Center or equivalent mission critical system experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with electrical power distribution systems, power monitoring systems, AC/DC electrical power, and the use of communication protocols. Three to five years' experience in the design of low voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and/or power distribution equipment is preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of UL Standards, such as UL67 Panelboards, UL1008 Transfer Switch
Equipment, UL10008S Static Transfer Switches, UL60950 Information Technology Equipment, UL 891
Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal‐Enclosed Low‐Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear as applicable, as well as other pertinent standards.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Ability to use test equipment, to include multimeters, current meters, and related devices.

Responsibilities
Management of complex Agile AI projects ensuring that goals, requirements, and outcomes are defined and that the appropriate resources are allocated
Monitor team performance to ensure that projects are implemented, supported, and closed accurately and in accordance with key milestones and established project standards are upheld and clearly defined throughout the entire process of each project's development and execution
Foster positive working relationships with team members, client personnel, and leadership counterparts
Prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and assign resources to each project
Track cost, schedule, and performance, as well as prepare documents and develop project-specific policy, procedures, and report status to all levels
Manage staffing requirements, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and execution
Manage task assignments and oversight of personnel to ensure excellence in service delivery
Prepare monthly cost reports and ensure such deliverables are submitted in a timely fashion and of high quality/accuracy. When appropriate, propose a plan to correct any cost variances or projected rate adjustments
Ensure program compliance with government and corporate policies and mandates, and adherence to directives from governing entities
Anticipate and resolve procurement challenges and problems, such as small business set-aside goals, certification requirements, and acquisition strategy
Work with LMI and LMI business partners to pursue new business opportunities
Support business development and bid and proposal efforts for opportunities, bringing together capabilities across LMI to define a solution that meets and exceeds client expectations
Qualifications
MINIMUM:
Bachelor's Degree or higher
Minimum of 5 years consulting experience
Minimum 3 years project management and/or task leadership experience
Experience with GenAI technologies and a strong point of view on how these tools can be combined to impact the government
Experience in the areas of SDLC and Agile software development methodologies
Technically adept and business-focused to interface across technical disciplines and senior leadership
Product management or related product lifecycle experience
Superior communication skills, both oral and written
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a "client first" attitude
Demonstrated ability to lead teams to successful outcomes
Exceptional organizational skills and a deep understanding of project management best practices
Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities and exhibit flexibility based on changing client needs
High level of business acumen, ability to develop and implement strategy
Strong connector - make insightful connections to bring the right people together to solve problems and grow the business
Active TS/SCI security clearance required
DESIRED SKILLS:

As an Infrared FieldTechnician, you will evaluate and monitor the condition of clients' electrical, mechanical, and structural systems using infrared imaging technology. This is a remote position requiring frequent travel, up to 60% of the time, including trips of two hours or more from the employee's home location. Overnight travel should be expected. Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of Kansas City, KS; Seattle, WA; or Boston, MA.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and reporting: Perform infrared and visual inspections of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems; document findings using ABB's proprietary tools.
Client and contractor coordination: Manage contracted electricians, collaborate with client personnel, and advise on mitigation techniques for identified issues.
Ensure compliance and safety: Follow ABB's Electrical Safety PPE policy and safely access energized equipment.
Administrative and operational tasks: Complete expense reports promptly, maintain reliable attendance, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of hands-on electrical or mechanical experience.
Ability to pass the ABB Level I Thermography course.

This Position reports to:
Sr. Director - Field Services
As an Infrared FieldTechnician, you will evaluate and monitor the condition of clients' electrical, mechanical, and structural systems using infrared imaging technology. This role may also involve vibration data collection and ultrasound testing across high-voltage electrical systems, compressed air, steam, and mechanical systems. You will support a diverse range of ABB customer facilities, including leading software development companies, big-box distribution centers, and more.
This is a remote position requiring frequent travel, up to 60% of the time, including trips of two hours or more from the employee's home location. Overnight travel should be expected. Candidates must reside within a one-hour commute of Kansas City, KS; Seattle, WA; or Boston, MA.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections and reporting: Perform infrared and visual inspections of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems; document findings using ABB's proprietary tools.
* Client and contractor coordination: Manage contracted electricians, collaborate with client personnel, and advise on mitigation techniques for identified issues.
* Ensure compliance and safety: Follow ABB's Electrical Safety PPE policy and safely access energized equipment.
* Administrative and operational tasks: Complete expense reports promptly, maintain reliable attendance, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of hands-on electrical or mechanical experience.
* Ability to pass the ABB Level I Thermography course.
* A strong safety orientation as well as being willing and able to wear up to Category 4 Personal Protective Equipment while on the job.
* Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand for extended periods throughout the day.
* Ability to speak and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate a professional presence that builds trust and reinforces customer confidence in our company.
* Basic computer skills in current software platforms, as well as the ability to work with mobile devices, such as laptops/tablets, are required.

About The Role and What we Look For

LOCATION: The Field Service Engineer will work remotely out of the St. Louis area and provide coverage for our surrounding install base.
