What We're Looking For: Michael Baker International is seeking a part-time, as needed, Senior Noise Analyst to join our nationwide organization. The successful candidate will be experienced with TNM 2.5 computer modeling knowledge that is interested in joining an established firm known across the United States. They must be capable of working effectively in a home office or field setting. We are looking for an upbeat, dependable team player who is organized and able to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a larger group across the Michael Baker spectrum. There is potential for this position to become full-time in the future. In this role, you will support the growth and development of the business through the application of knowledge and expertise in the field of industrial water and wastewater engineering, client services, and project management. As a PM, you will be accountable and responsible for Project Management of water and wastewater consulting and design projects. In this role you will have an opportunity to function as a key member of the team on industrial water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities include applying a range of processes and technologies, such as physical and chemical primary treatment, biological treatment, membrane treatment, adsorption, filtration, disinfection, thermal evaporation, and crystallization. The role involves receiving technical mentoring and guidance from a principal process engineer or subject matter expert, as well as delegating engineering or scientific calculations and drawings to mid-level and junior staff. The process engineer will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions. Additionally, the position supports or leads project implementation from the study phase through design, construction, startup and commissioning, and the operation and maintenance of treatment systems. Remote work is allowed although client facilities and projects are located throughout the US, with some international assignments; preferred locations include Houston, Dallas, Raleigh, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Tampa, Denver, and Philadelphia. Role description: Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join our world-class firm working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams. This hybrid role can be based in any of our Ohio locations including Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland or Akron, OH As a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, collection system planning, and computer modeling, combined with data analytics, to guide local project teams. You will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing new business opportunities. Your work will help protect natural resources while contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency. Role Accountabilities This role will develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models, conducting system planning, and performing regulatory studies. In addition, this role will provide valuable technical input on new and ongoing projects, guide technical teams, and help ensure the successful delivery of projects. Additional duties include: * Develop and review of technical reports, * Lead client presentations, coordinating project deliverables, and contributing to scope definition and project pursuits. * Enhance the technical knowledge within the team by attending workshops, presenting at industry events, and reviewing professional publications. * Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or project oversight. Required Qualifications * Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering * Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering * Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire. * Strong experience with hydraulic modeling, particularly using SWMM and/or ICM, is essential, along with proficiency in GIS. Key Skills and Attributes * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a deep understanding of wastewater hydraulic modeling and master planning Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree * Project delivery experience and familiarity with computer programming tools like Power BI or Python.
