To address questions and concerns from customers by providing account or policy information and solving problems or errors. To process policy changes and payments. To maintain most reports and tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CELIC Policy Services Representative Responsibilities
Provide customer service by fielding incoming phone calls from agents and policyholders. Issue new business and review policy applications for complete and accurate information. Process policy changes and endorsements. Provide quotes upon request. Answer questions regarding life/preneed products. Contact field representatives and/or agents for missing information. Troubleshoot and assist agent and policyholders promptly and accurately.
Maintain workflow within the unit. Issue policies and record and deposit money promptly and accurately. Mail appropriate copies of policies to policyholder, agent or both. Keep policy files up-to-date.
Test changes to the automated system, as they relate to job functions.
QUALIFICATIONS
CELIC Policy Services Representative Qualifications
Required
High school education required.
Prior customer service experience needed, preferably in the insurance field.
Strong communication and customer service skills a must.
Data entry and keyboard skills required.
Good judgment, friendly and helpful attitude; good math aptitude a plus.

Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan is seeking a motivated individual to join the Farm and Agribusiness Underwriting team!
During this fourteen-week internship program, you will be spending most of your time with the Farm and Agribusiness Underwriting department. The selected individual will be spending time with both our field and in office underwriter. The intern will have the opportunity to see many different kinds and sizes of farms, along with how insurance underwriting is done. The intern will learn what insurance underwriting is, and how it plays a pivotal role in how Michigan farmers manage their farm operation. The intern will also spend some time with our Risk Management Services Team to learn how loss control benefits both the insurance company and the farmer.
In addition to time spent learning the industry and walking farms with our underwriters, the intern will also be assigned several projects and tasks, all of which will benefit the Farm and Agribusiness Department accomplish underwriting goals. At the end of the fourteen-week internship, the intern will be expected to complete a Capstone presentation outlining everything they worked on, how their projects benefited the underwriting department, all their experiences during the fourteen weeks, what they learned, and some suggestions of how the department could improve.
The intern will be working closely with department management. This position will primarily work from home, with days on the road. Every Tuesday the intern is expected to report to the office. Management and the intern will meet weekly to go over status of projects, and how things are going. In addition to the time spent with underwriting, the intern will also have an opportunity to participate in rotational days, which will be a day spent with another department to learn about different areas of the company. These other departments include Crop Insurance, Marketing, Claims, and Michigan Farm Bureau Membership. The intern will also have the chance to participate in group networking activities with other interns from around the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Gain an understanding of key functions through on the job training and development.
Collaborate with department staff to contribute on various processes and projects.
Assist department managers with day-to-day tasks and procedures.
Undertake special assignments as instructed by department manager.
Build relationships with department stakeholders and contribute toward company and department goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be enrolled at a college or university and have declared a major course of study working towards graduation.
Proven track record as a hard worker, and excellent team player.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
Be familiar with computer equipment and how to operate basic software programs.

The team oversees the recruiting process for client-facing selling advisors from lead generation through selection and is accountable for maintaining a quality candidate experience and adhering to the Advisor Ecosystem playbooks. This role will have direct impact and influence of our weighted client facing capacity (WCFC) goal, growth in selling role contracts, partnership and alignment of Ecosystem onboarding paths, reduction in candidate cycle time, improvement in candidate ratios through the attraction and selection process, and best-in-class candidate experience.
This can be a remote position within the US.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruits, develops, and sustains a high-performing team while promoting a culture of shared accountability, operational excellence, and partnership across the organization.
Supports the development and implementation of business and marketing strategies to ensure the candidate pipeline and recruiting process is meeting the needs of the regional Advisor Groups and the Virtual Advice Team.
Oversees the team executing the Advisor Ecosystem playbook and is responsible for Sourcing, Recruiting, Selection/Assessment, Employment Law, and Onboarding.
Identified team strategies to source and attract passive candidates through the use and development of innovative online sourcing strategies and research techniques including: resume databases, referral generation, Boolean searches, social media, direct sourcing/cold calling, target companies, internal databases, etc.
Ensures the team's timely and effective sourcing and pre-qualifying of candidates for new advisor, practice growth and Virtual Advice team roles. This is accomplished by using proven strategies and techniques to identify, pre-qualify and attract quality talent to Thrivent.
Oversees the team to guide and coordinate candidates through the applicable assessments to move quickly through the recruiting process and drive reduction in candidate cycle time.
Manages the sourcing and recruiting coordinator functions and allocates appropriate resources to ensure that business unit and departmental objectives are met.
Tracks and analyzes field recruiting KPIs and outcomes to identify success, opportunities, trends and insights and applies the data for future approaches to field recruiting for each regional Advisor Group by Market, Group and channel level with key stakeholders and representatives.
Drives and effective partnership with key leadership in the regional Advisor Groups and the Virtual Advice Team to ensure their recruiting needs are met. Research and resolve issues, provide monthly updates on results and changes for each regional Advisor Group.
Identifies and leads continuous improvement, divisional and departmental projects to implement new capabilities and ease of doing business
Trouble-shoot and adapt to the regulatory / industry / advisor trends to ensure we deliver our recruiting goals within the team and Thrivent's Advisor Ecosystem.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
College degree in HR, business, management or related business field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience (5+ years) leading a team

Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills
Experience working with applicant tracking systems (e.g. Workday Recruiting)
