Job Responsibilities:
Leadership of Quality team at the Plant
Oversee, implement and maintain quality programs related to vendor certification, raw materials, product mock recall, hold and release, food safety and quality programs
Data analysis and trending to improve quality
Work on customer complaint resolution (root cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions)
Ability to work with cross functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, Sales, Supply Chain etc.)
Development and maintenance of all food safety regulatory programs to meet FDA/USDA/State regulatory requirements
Oversee employee training for Food safety and GMPs
Responsible for disposition of all held product, with input from the Plant Manager and Director Quality (as needed)
Act as a backup for Director of Quality
Oversee product quality with regards to meeting the specifications, and identification of defects
Leadership of Plant Laboratory
Track, report, and review the Quality Performance Indicators on a regular basis to drive continuous improvement
Manage cost of quality
Conduct Effective Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective action and preventative action
Direct management of quality assurance staff and testing laboratory

Qualifications and Skills
BS Degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field required
5-7 years in quality/manufacturing/sanitation management roles working in food manufacturing environments
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Leadership skills
Good communication skills to share ideas/technical information in an easy to understand way
Basic data analysis skills (collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions)
PCQI certified and SQF practitioner preferred, but not required
Demonstrated initiative and desire to learn about the dairy industry
Ability to ask questions and maintain accountability
Be able to interact with employees at levels in the organization
Shows interest to learn from and share the knowledge with other

As the Production Loadout Coordinator , you will provide administrative and ERP support to the Production Team. In this role, you'll compile, maintain, and verify records of production transactions and shipping activities to ensure accurate documentation and efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and check in fluid transport trucks.
Direct drivers to the appropriate loading bays.
Review loadout board and generate the load pick list.
Review production schedule and understand the importance of silo rotation set by Production.
Communicate changes/delays to Production Team, Dispatch and Fluid Team to optimize productivity and schedule attainment.
Complete shipping manifest (Bill of Lading) upon completion of the load out process.
Check out the transport driver, ensuring all shipping documentation is correct.
Verify all shipping tasks have been accurately completed with a step-by-step log.
Complete production tasks in ERP software (Microsoft D365) as required throughout the shift.
Participate in production shift change meetings.
Continually develops a stronger understanding of the operations of the plant to include equipment operations and workflow. This includes understanding the production plan.
Follow plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately.

Position Summary
The Plant Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the Remus facility. As a merchandise delivery driver, you'll travel throughout assigned territory in a straight truck delivering merchandise to our members. Routes are same day hauls with multiple stops over established routes.
As a warehouse clerk, you will physically receive product deliveries, pick orders, load the delivery truck, and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
The successful applicant would not be responsible for both roles at the same time. The successful applicant may fill either role on an “as needed" basis. This will be a part-time position.

As a Relief Production Supervisor at MMPA's Ovid facility, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a team of production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Key Responsibilities:
Time is shared between the production/warehouse environment and in the office.
Plan and organize available resources (employees, materials, time, equipment) to best meet shift production, quality and safety goals. Monitors and adapt plans throughout the shift as needed; ensure priorities are handled effectively.
Maintain accurate inventories of packaging materials, ingredients, powder, butter, and other items in storage by both manual and computerized methods.
Receive inbound deliveries in accordance with MMPA's policies and procedures.
Work closely with the sales department to coordinate shipments of butter and powder.
Develop, coach, and counsel employees to ensure a motivated and competent workforce on the shift.
Work cooperatively with other production supervisors and shift coordinators to ensure effective shift-to-shift transitions and to minimize disruption due to unplanned absences. Michigan Milk Producers Association is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team, in our Constantine, MI facility. In this critical role, you will lead a dynamic maintenance team to optimize equipment performance, uphold the highest standards of system reliability, and ensure the plant operates efficiently. You will also collaborate closely with leadership to align maintenance strategies with the company's long-term goals.
As a key player in the team, you will focus on developing a culture of active employee engagement, continuous improvement, and leadership development. You'll also oversee the accuracy of maintenance work and champion cross-departmental collaboration to maximize operational efficiency. In addition, this position involves participation in an on-call rotation with the Plant Engineer, ensuring plant support during off-hours.

Job Responsibilities
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of all equipment and
systems.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Continuously monitor plant performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvement solutions.
Collaborate with senior management to identify and execute long-term maintenance and plant improvement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Utilize a strong work order scheduling background to prioritize, assign, and track maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and engage a team of maintenance technicians, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Effectively prioritize and assign technician tasks to ensure plant readiness and minimize downtime.
Regularly assess technician workloads, reassign tasks as needed, and ensure alignment with urgent plant needs.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team morale and effectiveness.
Utilize various training methods (online, classroom, on-the-job) to continually develop team skills.
Identify high-potential team members for leadership roles, supporting the development of a strong leadership pipeline.
Follow-Up and Quality Assurance:
Inspect completed maintenance work to ensure it meets quality standards and resolves the root causes of issues.
Provide constructive feedback to technicians, addressing areas for improvement in work quality and efficiency.
Utilize follow-up reviews to reinforce plant readiness goals and proactively prevent recurring issues.
Plant Readiness:
Ensure all maintenance activities align with production schedules to maintain plant readiness.
Lead the prioritization of urgent repairs and planned maintenance to ensure maximum operational capacity.
Work closely with other departments to monitor plant activities and maintain smooth operations.
Monitor technician engagement to ensure tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Communication and Collaboration:
Act as the liaison between maintenance, production, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure shared responsibility for plant readiness.
Participate in cross-departmental meetings to align maintenance priorities with overall plant goals and address operational challenges.
Project Management:
Collaborate with Engineering to plan, implement, and oversee maintenance projects (e.g., upgrades, installations, and modifications), ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or system improvements.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to foster a safe working environment.
Lead safety “Toolbox” meetings to continuously promote a culture of safety within the team.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all maintenance tasks to ensure consistency and safety.
Support environmental and audit compliance efforts by ensuring equipment and processes meet regulatory standards (e.g., SQF, OSHA, customer requirements).
Documentation and Systems Management:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Demonstrate a strong understanding of work order scheduling, utilizing CMMS to efficiently manage maintenance requests, schedule resources, and track progress.
Utilize ERP systems for cost tracking and management of parts and materials.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in an on-call rotation with the Plant Leadership to provide plant support during non-standard hours. This may include responding to emergency breakdowns, system failures, and other urgent operational needs outside of regular working hours.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or dairy processing.
Proven expertise in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, with a focus on dairy processing and production equipment.
In-depth understanding of ultra-filtration (UF) technologies, clean-in-place (CIP) systems, and associated equipment used in dairy operations, particularly in the context of milk filtration, processing, and tank cleaning.
Experience with milk intake and loading operations, including the mechanical systems of milk tanker unloading, receiving, and storage systems.
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage technician workloads to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage, mentor, and develop a skilled team of maintenance technicians while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of regulatory standards, including SQF, OSHA, environmental compliance, and other industry-specific requirements (such as FDA and HACCP).
Experience with work order scheduling and using CMMS/ERP systems to prioritize, assign, and track maintenance work efficiently to minimize downtime.
Ability to assess plant operations, prioritize maintenance tasks, and implement corrective actions to maintain plant readiness and ensure smooth operation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a merchandise delivery driver, you'll travel throughout assigned territory in a straight truck delivering merchandise to our members. Routes are same day hauls with multiple stops over established routes.
As a warehouse clerk, you will physically receive product deliveries, pick orders, load the delivery truck, and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
The successful applicant would not be responsible for both roles at the same time. The successful applicant may fill either role on an "as needed" basis. This will be a part-time position.

Michigan Milk Producers Association is actively interviewing for an Industrial Automation/Process Project Engineer. Provides engineering support within manufacturing operations including, but not limited to- fluid milk receiving, separation, blending, batching, culture manufacture, pasteurization, evaporators, dryers, RO, CIP, packaging, and product storage systems. All functions are to be performed in accordance with PMO, FDA, MIOSHA, IOSHA, OSHA, and MMPA requirements, while at the same time maximizing operational efficiencies. All activities should be managed in alignment with company goals of safety, quality, regulatory preparedness, financial performance, inventory controls, and environmental mission. Facilitation of continuous improvement of the process through constant and effective communication is essential for this role. This position will have a high level of experience in fluid and batch processing automation systems. Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, documenting, and validating assigned engineering projects. Interacting daily with engineering and plant teams to support operational needs and requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality as defined in plant and department procedures.
Resource to participate in process effectiveness reviews and provide necessary engineering support for all plant processes.
Maintain SQL traceability software, extrapolate and analyze information, make recommendations, and take action as needed. Data analysis and trending using Historian systems.
Support training of employees as required.
Troubleshoot all process issues within the manufacturing area. Verify/validate that control programming and mechanical operations are synchronized. Work with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize operational effectiveness and to identify and resolve all issues.
Design, create, and modify operator interface screens.
Work with management from all departments to resolve process issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
Follow all GMP's at the highest level in areas of responsibility.
Commitment to safety is essential.
Ensure compliance with all company and FDA Quality requirements as stated in PMO and MMPA SOP's.
Must have a total awareness of safety, quality, productivity, product and material losses and how these KPI are impacted by process equipment and design.
Participate in problem solving teams.

Ability to work with Wonderware Intouch, Wonderware Historian, PanelView HMI development software packages.
Knowledge of PMO and Food Safety regulations.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.

Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cottage cheese production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement. This role provides hands-on leadership on the production floor, supports production planning, and ensures compliance with all safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The Supervisor plays a key role in developing employees while maintaining consistent product quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Leadership & Development
Develop, coach, and counsel employees to build a motivated, skilled, and accountable workforce
Provide ongoing training and performance feedback to support individual and team development
Lead by example and promote teamwork, accountability, and positive employee relations
Production & Equipment Operations
Develop hands-on familiarity with all cottage cheese processing equipment and production processes
Actively support and adjust production plans as needed to meet daily production targets
Troubleshoot production issues and work closely with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime
Safety & Compliance
Maintain and promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures
Assure adherence to all safety, operating policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Ensure employees follow sanitation, hygiene, and food safety requirements at all times
Quality & Attention to Detail
Monitor production processes closely to ensure product quality and consistency
Pay close attention to detail by considering all aspects of production, no matter how small
Accurately verify processes, documentation, and tasks to ensure compliance and accuracy
Communication & Continuous Improvement
Communicate production expectations, performance goals, and changes clearly to employees
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
Support corrective actions related to quality, safety, or production deviations
Qualifications
Required
Previous supervisory experience in food manufacturing or dairy production
Working knowledge of food safety standards, GMPs, and sanitation practices
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
Preferred
Experience in cottage cheese or dairy processing
Familiarity with production scheduling and manufacturing documentation
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to wear required PPE and work in wet or refrigerated environments

MMPA is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians who will focus on maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of our production equipment and facilities. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing production systems, installing pumps and valves, and maintaining control circuits. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at heights, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using a variety of tools. A strong commitment to safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and collaboration with team members and managers to achieve annual objectives is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Uphold Food Safety
Work safely and be organized
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of production machinery & equipment, physical plant, utilities & grounds in accordance with company policies & procedures
Troubleshooting and repair of the plant production systems.
Repair and install sanitary type pumps and valves.
Repair and maintenance of 24vdc control circuits.
Complete projects in timely manner
Lift up to 50 pounds
Be able to climb and work safely at heights
Work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Chemical Safety Procedures.
Perform any tasks necessary to ensure a Safe Quality Food product is produced.
Perform any and all related duties as may be required or necessary.
Work with the Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager to meet annual goals of production, maintenance repair goals, special projects and any jobs deemed necessary.
All other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of P&ID drawings within an industrial environment and the ability to use them as a troubleshooting tool.
Ability to troubleshoot digital and analog instrumentation and analog controlled process valving.
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot 24vdc control circuit using electrical drawings and testing equipment.
Experience with PLC controlled equipment and the ability to interpret control logic as a troubleshooting tool.
Experience with the maintenance of high-pressure boiler systems is desired.
Experience with the maintenance of Wastewater treatment systems is desired.
Experience with Ammonia refrigeration is desired.
Basic knowledge of personal computer-based equipment
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Ability to work and communicate verbally, in writing, via phone or radio effectively with a variety of individuals.
Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
