Job Summary
The Criminal Justice Administrative Records System (CJARS) is a next-generation criminal justice data platform designed to improve policy-relevant research on the U.S. justice system. To date, the project has amassed a substantial amount of criminal justice data, including 3 billion lines of raw data, which come from 38 states and cover over 200 million criminal justice events. CJARS was recently awarded a $6 million grant from Arnold Ventures to expand project operations over the course of the next three years. We are seeking applications for a Research Assistant to join our expanding team and contribute to ongoing and planning research projects. As a Research Assistant, you will be involved in conducting literature reviews, cleaning and analyzing data, creating data visualizations and other statistical output, and supporting the dissemination of research findings.

Responsibilities*
The Research Assistant will engage in a number of activities that support ongoing and planning research activities, including:
* Conduct literature reviews and develop annotated bibliographies that summarize key elements of published research.
* Collect, code, clean, and link various data resources in preparation for statistical analyses.
* Contribute to the development of data analysis plans and carry out analyses on large data resources.

Responsibilities*
The Research Lab Technician Intermediate will work as part of a team of scientists and clinicians who focus on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of allergy and immunodeficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Maintaining cell cultures and generation of DNA constructs
* Performing flow cytometry, examining protein interactions, and the study of gene function using molecular and cellular assays in close collaboration with the PI
* Assisting with the mouse colony (breeding, genotyping, and performing procedures)
* Processing patient blood and other samples for the division's biobank
* Responsible for ordering and organizing of reagents
Required Qualifications*
Intermediate Technician Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, life sciences, medical technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* 1-2 years of experience
* Experience with molecular biology techniques and cell culture
* Sufficient experience and comfort level with mouse handling and experiment
* Proactive, have excellent time management skills, and be meticulous in record keeping

The Garbincius lab is seeking a highly motivated individual to join a mitochondrial biology research group within the Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology at the University of Michigan.
The lab has numerous projects centered on mitochondrial biology and its role in heart failure and skeletal muscle disease. Other projects involve discovery-based approaches to identify novel genes and mitochondrial processes driving heart failure. Responsibilities*
The candidate will primarily be responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of a molecular biology research laboratory. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:: inventory management and ordering supplies, maintenance and organization of the laboratory mouse colony (breeding strategies, genotyping, establishment of experimental cohorts, etc.), carrying out molecular biology experiment, cell culture maintenance, supervising junior laboratory members, including undergraduates assistants, implementing, and training others in laboratory safety and regulatory compliance, and the collection and organization of data. Occasional off-hours (night/weekend) work may be required. The individual will be working within a diverse academic setting, and superior written and verbal communication skills are essential. The candidate must implement independent critical thinking to resolve unexpected problems as they arise to ensure the efficient operation of the research group. They are also expected to foster and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the research enterprise. Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
Prior experience working with mouse models is essential for this position, and individuals with prior laboratory experience in cellular and/or molecular biology will be given higher priority. This position is located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Stroke is a major cause of disability. We are recruiting research coordinators to help with a NIH-funded stroke research study. The objective of the study is to evaluate the association between sleep disorders and problems with cognition after stroke (e.g. problems with thinking and memory). Responsibilities*
