What you'll do as a Supply Chain Specialist:
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring that our inventory, purchasing, and supplier management processes run efficiently and effectively. What you can expect to do as a Supply Chain Specialist:
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, preventing both overstock and stockouts.

Continuous Improvement: Reduce aged, dead, or slow-moving inventory and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions through proactive planning and communication.
Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitate clear and timely communication between departments to align on supply strategies and goals.
What we are looking for in a Supply Chain Specialist:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
3-8 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, focusing on inventory analysis, reorder points, and ERP-based purchasing.
Demonstrated experience managing inventory portfolios with turnover rates of 7+ per year.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, M3).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job DescriptionDescription:
The basic function of the Lumber Mixer is to batch mix the blend of raw materials required to achieve the output needed to meet scheduled production requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up the raw materials as necessary for the blend sheet specifications
Batch mix the raw materials in quantity as needed for the specifications
Verify that materials used match per specifications
Recognize raw material that is out of spec or wet
Follow established processes/guidelines for
Color changes
Blend changes
Job/product changeovers
Transport and storage of molds not in use
Trouble shoots minor problems with the batch mixers.
Band secure and transfer stacked finished product to receiving area.
Cut up scrap product for rework as needed
Fabricate production pallets as needed
Set up collection boxes for extruder purge and scrap
Label and removal of boxes when full
Relieve line operators on break times
Assist with secondary operations as necessary
Ensure that production processes and finished goods meet the company's standards for Quality.
Work safely, following legislated, and Bedford Technology, safety rules and practices.
Follow the Policies and Procedures of the company.
Input accurate time keeping and production records
Perform any other task or work assignment that may be delegated from time to time by a supervisor.
Requirements:
Required Skills and Abilities
Ability to read, write and perform math skills
Able to pass a colorblindness test
Ability to read a tape measure to measure in feet and inches
Mechanical ability sufficient to operate extruder line and recognize problems
Able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend regularly
Able to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
Three years of continuous employment in a manufacturing environment preferred
