Prepares media for microbial testing including agar, buffer, dilution bottles, swabs, and Petrifilm.

Additional duties include, ordering and stocking laboratory supplies, handling and disposing of biological and chemical waste, and operating and maintaining autoclaves and other small laboratory equipment. The role also involves coordinating equipment upkeep, interfacing with the business office on administrative tasks, and assisting with budget tracking for laboratory operations.
This is a part time position within the College of Science.
What We're Looking For
Education and Experience Required:
* Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or chemistry.
* No experience required; up to two years of experience in a lab setting working with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and/or RNA biochemistry techniques is preferred.
Skills Needed:
* Molecular biology, cell culture, laboratory stock and equipment maintenance
