Our operators participate in the robust manufacturing of titanium components that result in superior material properties and lowest cost, while adhering to all required processes and procedures, ensuring AS9100 and customer specifications are followed.
In a typical day, your expertise:
Prepares raw materials and production equipment to support the Production Team
Produces orders including monitoring and recording of the production process data
Participates in and/or perform quality control after instructions from QAM
Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment
Assists or manages the handling of technical issues and problems related to production of parts
Inspects parts with precision and measuring tools; control and adjust machine settings as necessary
Tests operation of machines periodically
Carries out NTi supportive tasks given by manager
Ensures projects and tasks are executed within department budgets and performance, and ensure adherence to company goals, objectives and values
Assists in identification of improvements to increase profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc.

About this Role
FiberTel is looking for an HDD Operator for our Albuquerque, NM location.
A Successful HDD Operator is specially trained and has expertise in locating for horizontal/directional drill rigs and product support equipment. This individual will be primarily responsible for setting up and completing drilling variable-sized underground boreholes and pulling back the required conduit/pipe. As a Directional Driller/Equipment Operator, you are responsible for running various directional drilling equipment; Directional Drill, (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) Vac. Truck, Mud Truck, Excavator, Forklift, Dump truck, Locator, along with others not listed.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
Locate for Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.
Ensure safety of the public and other utilities underground facilities.
Operate Horizontal Directional Drill
Assist in potholing and remediation.
Assist with setting hand holes and completing tie-ins.
Ability to Read and Comprehend utility locates.
Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine.
Ability to properly formulate and mix drilling mud for the site conditions.
Ability to perform proper reaming and pull back methods for existing conditions.
Oversee laborers and/or crew members work and monitor time usage.
Ability to properly clean and maintain the equipment, check fluid levels, and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required reports, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment.
Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required reports (i.e. Bore log, vehicle maintenance reports, crew time logs etc.)
Follows specifications for the job and company policies.
Complies with safety procedures on and off the project site.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will vary throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:
The employee will need to have the ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching and feeling, crouching, and crawling. Position Summary
The Hydrovac Operator is responsible for operating Hydrovac trucks to safely and efficiently excavate soil and expose underground utilities using high-pressure water and vacuum systems. This role supports field operations by using pressurized water and a vacuum system to expose underground utilities and structures, ensuring safety and minimal disruption. Operate Trimble and GPS equipment to record utilities as necessary
Locate utilities with a locator wand utilizing tracer wires and other conductive materials in the ground.
Locate utilities with GPR scanning equipment as required.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance of equipment
Complete required logs and reports to document work performed and site conditions
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area
Communicate with site supervisors, team members, and vendors to coordinate tasks
Participate in job hazard analysis (JHA), site-specific safety plans, and morning action planning (MAP)
