MicroMetl company history timeline

1965

In 1965 the Booher family founded the company in Indianapolis Indiana as General Sheet Metal (GSM). GSM manufactured and installed sheet metal duct systems for the local construction market before venturing into the HVAC accessory business.

1980

In the late 1980’s plenums were becoming obsolete due to design changes to the roof top unit.

1987

1987 MicroMetl came under new ownership and was purchased by Tom O’Mara

1992

1992 In May the company was purchased by our current owners, Gerald E. and Barbara E. Schultz.

1994

To better serve our West Coast customers, a manufacturing facility in Sparks, Nevada opened in 1994.

1994 Under new leadership, the company begins to see growth and MicroMetl expands to its second location in Sparks.

1997

1997 MicroMetl designs and sells their very first ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation).

1998

1998 MicroMetl Nevada expands and relocates into larger buildings in order to meet the demand of our loyal customers.

2005

In 2005 MicroMetl Corporation expanded to Longview Texas, and the Indianapolis Indiana plant remains the company headquarters.

2015

2015 MicroMetl celebrates 50 years of successful business strategies and implement IECC codes.

2017

2017 MicroMetl Launches their newly upgraded website to better meet the customer’s needs.
