Gary Dickerson was named president of Applied Materials, Inc. in June 2012 and appointed chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors in September 2013. Prior to Applied Materials, he was CEO of Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, Inc. for seven years, until its acquisition by Applied Materials in 2011, and spent 18 years at KLA-Tencor Corporation where he held a variety of operations and product development roles before serving as president and chief operating officer. He began his semiconductor career in manufacturing and engineering management at General Motors’ Delco Electronics Division and AT&T Technologies. Mr. Dickerson holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering management from the University of Missouri, Rolla, and an MBA degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City.

Timothy M. Archer is our president and chief executive officer. Mr. Archer joined us in June 2012 as our executive vice president, chief operating officer. Prior to joining us, he spent 18 years at Novellus Systems, Inc. in various technology development and business leadership roles, including most recently as chief operating officer from January 2011 to June 2012; executive vice president of Worldwide Sales, Marketing, and Customer Satisfaction from September 2009 to January 2011; and executive vice president of the PECVD and Electrofill Business Units from November 2008 to September 2009. His tenure at Novellus also included assignments as senior director of technology for Novellus Systems Japan from 1999 to 2001 and senior director of technology for the Electrofill Business Unit from April 2001 to April 2002. He started his career in 1989 at Tektronix, where he was responsible for process development for high-speed bipolar ICs. Mr. Archer completed the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Graduate School of Business and earned a B.S. degree in applied physics from the California Institute of Technology.

Robert A. Bruggeworth serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Qorvo, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacture of high performance RF components and compound semiconductors. He also serves on Qorvo’s board of directors. Prior to the merger of RF Micro Devices, Inc. (“RFMD”) and TriQuijnt Semiconductor, Inc. to form Qorvo, Inc., Mr. Bruggeworth served as President and Chief Executive Officer of RFMD and served on the RFMD board of directors. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Mr. Bruggeworth served RFMD as both President of the company and Vice President of wireless products. Before joining RFMD, Mr. Bruggeworth held a variety of positions at AMP, Inc., a $5.5 billion supplier of electrical and electronic connection devices, including Divisional Vice President and Area Director for AMP's Asia Pacific Central region; Divisional Vice President of Operations, Asia Pacific; and most recently Divisional Vice President of Computer and Consumer Electronics, based in Hong Kong, China. Mr. Bruggeworth attended Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Bruggeworth became an MSA director in 2007.

Liam K. Griffin, 53, is president and chief executive officer and a director of Skyworks Solutions, Inc. Prior to his appointment as CEO and to the board of directors in May 2016, he had served as president since May 2014. He served as executive vice president and corporate general manager from November 2012 to May 2014, where he was responsible for all of Skyworks' business units. Since joining Skyworks in 2001, Mr. Griffin has also held the positions of executive vice president and general manager of high performance analog and senior vice president of sales and marketing. Before joining Skyworks, he was the vice president of worldwide sales at Vectron International, a division of Dover Corporation, and held product management and process engineering positions at AT&T's Microelectronics and Network Systems' businesses. Mr. Griffin received a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master's of business administration from Boston University. In addition, Mr. Griffin previously served on the board of Vicor Corp. and currently serves on the board of National Instruments (Nasdaq: NATI), a provider of software-defined platforms for automated test and measurement systems.

David Goeckeler is Chief Executive Officer of Western Digital. Prior to joining Western Digital, Goeckeler was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cisco’s Networking and Security Business, a $34 billion global technology franchise. A 19-year Cisco veteran, he led a team of more than 25,000 engineers and oversaw Cisco’s networking and security strategy and market acceleration, including development operations for the company's expansive technology portfolio and strategic acquisitions. Previously, Goeckeler oversaw Cisco’s Security Business and was instrumental in defining Cisco’s threat-centric security strategy, transitioning the business to a software and recurring revenue-based model, and returning the business to share-gaining growth. Under his leadership, the Security Group also acquired and successfully integrated multiple companies, solidifying Cisco’s place as the largest IT Security vendor in the industry. Goeckeler holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and mathematics from the University of Missouri at Columbia, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a master’s degree in business administration from both Columbia University and the University of California at Berkeley. Goeckeler is widely recognized for his leadership and operational excellence.
