Responsibilities: * Communicate with Global Quality (GQ) engineers and probe production teams to release QRA material holds. * Use data analysis tools to extract and analyze hold data, recommend and complete disposition strategies. * Identify and contain non-conforming wafers and assess risk to outgoing product quality. * Lead or support global projects to deploy and enhance quality systems and business processes. * Support central QA system setup for new Micron facilities, including ID1 Boise. * Drive and implement new Statistical Bin Limit (SBL) and Part Average Testing (PAT) strategies. * Develop QA dashboards and automated reports using R, Python, or Tableau, and build machine learning models and interactive web API dashboards to predict wafer/die-level quality. * Automate product disposition and QRA risk assessment reporting. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Materials Science, Physics, or Microelectronics Engineering. * Basic coursework or understanding of semiconductor device physics and semiconductor manufacturing process flows. * Basic coursework or understanding of CMOS operation and reliability failure models, and basic understanding of reliability of DRAM or FLASH memory devices. * Basic coursework or understanding in statistics, probability theory, and machine learning. The Operations Improvement team is responsible for facility optimization, improving overall manufacturing efficiency and ensuring high product quality. Engineers will develop systems in a diverse range of topics such as: scheduling and real time dispatch, line management, production metrics and reporting, statistical analysis and project management Responsibilities and Tasks Safety and Quality * Completes all required safety training and ensures all work is conducted in accordance with safety policies * Improves safety behaviors and processes for their work environment through analyzing and sharing safety data * Drives a safety culture by requiring safe behaviors and sets the example for safety * Completes required follow-up on First Aid/OSHA events within required timelines * Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issues * Follows-up on quality related issues and works towards resolution * Ensures all protocols and procedures are followed and are updated in a timely manner Operations Support * Participate in weekly OI system on call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage on critical OI-related issues * Perform first-level system support along with additional on call duties as described in the OI on call training document * Ensure availability and accuracy of documentation to empower users to self-diagnose issues where possible * Ensure availability and currency of documentation to enable all on call team members to support first-level investigation and resolution of IT ticket for OI system Automation Systems * Continuously improve automation systems (applications, business rules, heuristics/algorithms, integration) to enable the fab to achieve Line of Sight goals * Continuously enhance manufacturing systems to improve prediction accuracy and enable more scenario study capabilities. * Work with stakeholders on problem and opportunity identification and investigation, solutions design and development, and testing and deployment for automation systems * Work with stakeholders to understand and close performance gaps in the efficiency metrics * Work with WW teams to ensure proper allocation of resources through global requests * Create, document, and support business processes for scheduling and automation service requests Line and Area Optimizations * Work with stakeholders to ensure a balance between global line prioritization and local area optimization * Support and provide technical expertise for line management decision making (including linearity, cycle time, line yield, wafer starts and output optimization) * Support and provide technical expertise for area management decision making (including queue time management, equipment and recipe releases, and general workstation optimization) Manufacturing Support * Assist with overall manufacturing efficiency. * Support manufacturing scenario studies through automation solutions. * Documenting and maintaining key business processes owned by the Industrial Engineering team. * Collaborating with production training specialists and industrial engineering trainer to develop new training classes and materials to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Providing training to new team members. * Following processes defined in all ISO-TS documentation. * Work with WW teams to align and benchmark training and documentation materials and practices (CST). * Participating in cross-functional teams and special projects (Quality Teams, PAC projects, etc.). Project Management * Promoting project management to address area productivity opportunities. * Gathering project requirements and defining scope. * Facilitating discussions with key stakeholders. * Providing timely progress updates and identifying potential roadblocks. * Ensuring projects are properly prioritized and that deliverables and timelines are in line with constraint dates and business needs. Successful candidates must have: * An understanding of the Production and Fabricate Wafers business processes. * An understanding on Agile software development concept * The ability to utilize Industrial Engineering concepts (queueing theory, lean, theory of constraints, Little's Law, scheduling, etc.) to implement solutions. * The ability to provide fast and repeatable data mining through the use of relational databases. * The ability to deliver comprehensive solutions to address root cause through systematic analysis. * The ability to quantify improvements using applied statistics. * The ability to maintain and continuously improve Industrial Engineering owned reports. * Demonstrate basic programming skill with one of the following environment: SQL, Angular, C#, Java/JavaScript.
