Meta Robotics Studio is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This role is pivotal in tackling the most novel electrical design problems we face, including designing and developing complex robotics that balance ergonomics, performance, reliability, and usability while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. This role is part of a team responsible for initial concept development, analytical modeling, prototype design, construction, and testing. Minimum Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with a proven track record of contributing to the successful inception, ideation, development, and launch of consumer products * BS degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field * Experience in one or more of the following systems in the context of Robotic systems: Lithium Battery Systems, High Power (>100W) DC/DC Power Conversion and Distribution, DC Motor Controllers and Drivers, Embedded systems (MCU/GPU), Electrical System Integration, positional sensing (encoders, etc), cable harness design, functional safety systems, and control theory * Experience with electrical system integration including schematic and layout using industry-standard simulation and design packages such as SPICE, MATLAB, Altium or Cadence * Experience with electrical design verification using standard test and measurement equipment (Oscilloscope, LCR, DMM, Electronic Load, etc) * Experience working collaboratively with cross functional Engineering, Safety, Manufacturing, and external partners * Experience hands-on in lab assembling and testing systems, including soldering, crimping, and basic mechanical assembly * Experience innovating and solving complex design problems Preferred Qualifications * MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field * 8+ years of experience in research or advanced development incubating new tech and guiding them through to product transfer * Experience in full Robotics and consumer electronic product design * Experience programming in other languages like Python/Java/C#/C++/C, creating initial system bring-up, debugging, and test code * Experience with signal and power integrity * Experience with vendor engagement and relationship management, including co-design and customization of existing commercial technologies * Experience defining and coordinating test procedures in a lab and factory environment to facilitate system bring-up and evaluation * Experience with electrical and operational safety controls and procedures * Design for Compliance certification and EMI/EMC theory Responsibilities * Architect and design electrical engineering solutions for the next generation of robotics that include fabrication and assembly of Printed Circuit Boards, Flexible Printed Circuits, and Rigid Flexible Printed Circuits * Develop schematics, guide board layout, assemble, test, debug, and integrate multi-component electrical systems using industry-standard simulation and design packages such as SPICE, MATLAB, Altium or Cadence * Establish and conduct collaborations with multidisciplinary partners, both internal and external * Embrace constant learning, diving into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and supporting the ambiguity of robotics problem solving About Meta Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.     The Wearables Wireless Design Validation and Infra team is seeking an experienced Hardware Prototype Engineer to join the W-DIESL (Wearable Device Infra Engineering Services & Labs) team. This role is critical for enabling early product and system validation, delivering high-fidelity prototypes, and unblocking key design decisions for Meta's next-generation wearables. **Required Skills:** Hardware Prototype Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Support early validation of products, subsystems, and components through a broad range of prototyping capabilities 2. Enable product design teams to de-risk design decisions by facilitating validation builds and testing that cannot be supported by contract manufacturers or internal teams 3. Leverage multidisciplinary expertise to integrate complex subsystems, design fixtures, and enable rapid iteration 4. Deliver high-quality prototypes that support effective risk mitigation and critical design validation 5. Provide rapid, high-fidelity prototype validation and feedback to resolve key design challenges for wearables products 6. Accelerate decision-making, reduce development risks, and keep the product roadmap on track for milestones and successful launches 7. Maintain adaptability and responsiveness to evolving design requirements throughout the prototyping process 8. Enable continuous refinement, faster problem resolution, and accelerated product development timelines 9. Work closely with product design, subsystem owners (audio, wireless, display), and other cross-functional partners to deliver on prototyping needs 10. Manage intake and triage of support requests, assess feasibility, and coordinate with internal and external teams as needed 11. Lead part and material acquisition, space allocation, build planning, and execution for prototype and EQV builds 12. Coordinate with project DRIs to ensure timely and high-quality delivery 13. Develop and refine assembly processes, including manual and automated adhesive dispense, soldering, and integration of new components 14. Design and fabricate fixtures for assembly, testing, and validation 15. Support verification and validation testing post-build, including functional, mechanical, and environmental tests 16.
