An accomplished financial executive, Ralph Pepino was promoted in 2010 the position of US Controller of GroupM after nearly 4 years as Controller of Mediaedge (a GroupM subsidiary) where he was responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, internal control development and adherence, and maintaining balance sheet integrity for GroupM’s largest media agencies. After 4 years as Controller of GroupM where he successfully consolidated all of the accounting and reporting functions of GroupM's media agencies, he was promoted to CFO of two of GroupM's specialty agencies: The Midas Exchange and GroupM ESP where he is responsible for all client compensation negotiations as well as overseeing the overall financial and operational functions of the agencies. Prior to coming to GroupM, he served as CFO of Interbrand where he provided operational strategy and directed all financial functions. Trained in the rigorous “Big 4” and public company environments, he has a proven record of working collaboratively and delivering sound financial guidance. Throughout his career he developed and applied his skills in both fiscal and commercial accounting and is equally comfortable negotiating with clients as he is debating with auditors. He has either managed or worked closely with all areas of operations outside of finance including account management, human resources, information technology and facilities. Because of his past CFO experience and accomplishments in client service, he continued to break the stereotype of a fiscal controller at Mediaedge by accepting client assignments in addition to his reporting duties. Originally from New York and now residing in New Jersey, he is a graduate of The College of Staten Island and is a certified public accountant.
