About This Job:
This position will serve as a Resource Home Specialist for the Family Support Services Division. This position will be responsible for supporting the Resource Team in all aspects of recruitment, licensing, training, and providing support to resource homes. This position will emphasize exploring and supporting kinship placement options and promoting safety, permanency, and well-being for youth in foster care. The Resource Team provides a continuum of services to support youth placed at all levels of care, from entry into foster care to placement changes (planned or emergency) within and external to the local resource home program.
The ideal Human Services Caseworker candidate will have previous experience with recruitment and training of foster parents, including kinship caregivers. They will know federal, state, and local policies and procedures pertaining to child welfare and licensing requirements.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Identify and secure resource home placement for children and youth in foster care on an emergency or planned basis.
* Coordinate with Human Services Caseworkers to identify potential kinship placement possibilities.
* Coordinate with the Placement Specialist when a local resource home or kinship placement cannot be identified.
* Assist with coordinating and facilitating resource parent training classes for kinship placements.
* Communicate with prospective resource families pre- and post-training.
* Participate in the planning and coordination of in-service trainings to support existing resource homes.
* Ensure all new and existing resource homes are licensed in compliance with state and federal requirements.
* Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of the Annual Foster Parent Appreciation Event.
* Conduct quarterly home visits to licensed resource homes to ensure safety and assess home conditions.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a human services field; or a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of two years of appropriate and related experience in a human services area.
Preferences:

Schedule Requirements:

Responsibilities:
Receive training on treatment plans and behavior intervention plans for each client on your caseload
Implement plans as written by your clinical supervisor
Provide services to clients based on hours set by your clinical supervisor
Collect data on a daily basis
Communicate regularly with the clinical supervisor
Train caregivers to implement the behavior plan
Implement the behavior plan in all relevant settings
Attend meetings regarding client's behavior services as necessary
Maintain recertification of RBT training annually
Attend meetings and trainings as requested by the supervisory team

There are nearly 300,000 teenagers of active-duty U.S. military parents who are stationed all over the world. These teens move an average of seven times during their school-aged years. The questions of identity and belonging that all teens face grow even more challenging to answer amid starting over and meeting new friends at each location.

By being in their world, walking alongside them, and creating a community where they experience the truth of God's love and purpose for them, our staff provide a safe space where teens can develop friendships and connections to experience laughter, build hope, and generate resiliency.
We are currently providing incarnational ministry at many military installations around the world. You will have the opportunity to lead and oversee the overall Young Life Military program, known as Club Beyond, which is ecumenically focused and outreach oriented.
Responsibilities:
Actively develop healthy relationships with adults, as well as kids, and build vibrant relationships with the local community, the military installation, and the chapel community.
Be a role model (incarnational) and assist with developing community outreach to "unchurched" teens, discipleship to Christian teens, and leading and equipping volunteers to do "hands-on" middle and high school Christian youth programs.
Work well in an environment that sees (due to high military operational tempo) a high degree of turnover among teens, families, chaplains and volunteers.
Be respectful of and embrace a community that is deeply influenced by a military culture.

Typical Day:

Required Qualifications:
* Education: High School + 7 yrs experience, Associates + 5 yrs experience, Bachelor's +3 yrs experience; CompTIA SEC + certification can substitute for education requirements
* Five (5) years documented experience in telecommunications, communication systems technician support, including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, computer science systems
* Shall be able to carry communications equipment up to 70 lbs
* Shall be able to climb on or under small or large vehicles
* Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI access
* Ability to pass a polygraph and drug screening exam when directed once employed

Position Type Shift Information:
