Required Knowledge and Skills: Psychiatric diagnoses and treatment with psychotropic medications. Mental illness and substance use disorders and treatment program modalities. Community and regional resources engaged in social problem-solving. Patient counseling processes, techniques, methods, and group and individual counseling skills.
