PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure regular preventative Maintenance is performed on all equipment
Perform mechanical and electrical trouble shooting and repair of equipment
Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair
Installation of new equipment
Welding and metal fabrication of parts in need of repair
Repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds for the Distribution Center
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Overview
Navitas is ready to invest in you! We are seeking a Quality Control Technician in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will perform various lithium-ion quality tasks including inspections of electrode, cells, and packs.
This is a 2nd shift position Monday through Friday from 2:30pm - 11:00pm. We will be transitioning to our new schedule Monday through Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am beginining Nov 2nd.
This position will pay $22.00 plus $1.50 shift differential.
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
Responsibilities
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Perform in-process visual inspections of Li-ion electrode, cells, and packs.
Perform dimensional inspection of parts against print tolerances.
Complete NCMRs for rejected incoming material.
Complete all ISO quality related documentation.
Record quality anomalies and machine yield rates and report to Quality Engineer.
Record material and batch information on travelers.
Ensure and maintain cleanliness of work area and gages used in the inspection process.
Train co-workers and assist others when problems arise.
Be punctual and reliable in attendance.
Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, and conduct.
Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators
Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary

Qualifications
Education and Experience
High School or GED.
3 years of manufacturing experience; previous battery quality inspection experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Individual must be comfortable building products for US and ally military testing and use.
Good verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift 40 pound loads several times per day and stand for 2-4 hours at a time.
Ability to work in dry room / clean room environment (0 to 2% relative humidity).

Navitas is ready to invest in you! We are seeking a Capacity Planner/Master Scheduler in Ann Arbor, Michigan to optimize our planning and scheduling operations. As a Capacity Planner / Master Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our production schedules and ensuring our manufacturing operations align with customer demand and capacity constraints. Responsibilities
Capacity Planning & Scheduling:

Track key performance metrics (KPIs) related to capacity, production lead time, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

Professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in capacity planning software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools.
Strong understanding of production scheduling techniques, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
Data-driven approach with advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).

The Cell Formation Operator performs the lithium Ion cell formation process utilizing an established process flow through semi-automated cell formation equipment, aging ovens, degassing equipment, and final cell packaging. This position requires the ability to read instructions represented in manuals and follow these instructions. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.
Work Schedule: 1 Opening on our night shift which runs M-Thu 4:30pm-3:00am
1 Opening on our weekend shift which runs Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm
Hourly Rate: 19.84 per hour plus a shift premium
Responsibilities
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
Work with team to move battery cells through prescribed formation process at daily rate
Load and unload batches of battery cells between aging ovens and electrical charge/discharge equipment
Manually transfer individual cells into position in bins accurately and efficiently
Accurately scan battery cell and batch code numbers into data tracking system
Monitor equipment for error signals, alarms, cycle complete signals, and respond per training
Track process anomalies and report to process lead
Remove process failures and follow procedures for disposition
Operate battery cell finishing equipment (cell sorting, package trimming and folding)
Ensure daily 5S of work area (maintain clean and organized work areas)
Be punctual and reliable in attendance
Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, and conduct
Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators
Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner

The Designer I will be responsible for the design, development, and release of design models and prints for battery cells, modules and packs for customized applications in the government, military, aerospace, and other specialty, high-performance market segments. Navitas is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr Process Engineer to improve, optimize and solve complex problems on our Li-ion battery manufacturing line. An understanding of high volume manufacturing process improvement, analytical problem solving and complex data analysis is essential, ideally within the lithium-ion battery industry. Lead root cause analysis for production issues related to battery cell quality, capacity degradation, and safety concerns, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Lead and manage complex engineering projects related to lithium-ion battery manufacturing, from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and timeline objectives.

Overview
Navitas is ready to invest in you! We are seeking a Cell Assembly Operator in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will perform various automated lithium-ion cell assembly tasks, to include electrode cutting, stacking, packaging, electrolyte filling, and materials handling. This position requires the ability to read instructions represented in manuals and follow these instructions.
This position will pay between $19.84 plus $1.50 shift differential
Must be able to work Monday- Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am
Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.
Responsibilities
Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
Work with team to assemble Li-ion cells through a sequence of automated assembly steps at daily rates.
Operate complex automated equipment via touch screen interface.
Become expert in operating at least two machines. Master startup, fault resolution, and shutdown.
Load and unload material, workpiece carriers, magazines and transfer material between machines.
Monitor equipment for error signals, alarms, and anomalies and respond to maintain safety, quality, and yield.
Record process anomalies and machine yield rates and report to process lead.
Record material and batch traveler information on travelers.
Perform in-process visual inspections of material.
Remove scrap material from machines and place in designated containers.
Ensure and maintain cleanliness of material and equipment.
Train co-workers and assist others when problems arise.
Ensure daily 5S of work area (maintain clean and organized work areas).
Be punctual and reliable in attendance.
Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality, and conduct.
Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

Navitas Systems is seeking a Principal Battery Management System (BMS) Engineer to provide technical leadership, architectural ownership, and long-term stewardship of advanced BMS solutions for lithium-ion battery products serving military, commercial, and industrial markets.

Overview
The Application Engineer I will be responsible for guiding proper application of Navitas Lithium-Ion battery products & accessories for sale into the material handling equipment market or other C&I product lines related to material handling e.g. Ground Support Equipment (GSE). The responsibilities of the position will include maintaining an accurate product application knowledge base, responding to application inquiries from sales agents, traveling to customer sites to understand application needs and issues, and initiating activities in engineering to resolve issues. This position will work as part of the engineering team to ensure closure of applications issues, track engineering changes, and support order entry system development. In addition, the role will work with customers on new applications or technologies to be designed and/or implemented to support the business. This position requires travel as necessary to attain results. This position requires the ability to read instructions represented in manuals and follow these instructions. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain knowledge of customer battery applications and use-case scenarios through direct interaction with the customer at the point of use.
Assist Sales in capturing the voice of the customer with respect to product configuration, features, interfaces, and technical capabilities required for specific applications.
Take customers input, existing and future, to translate opportunities to engineering to assess the business opportunities. Drive relationships between the customer and engineering to ensure alignment on the requirements to assess opportunities.
Assist sales agents in understanding Navitas current product offerings and align demo requests with an appropriately configured product.
Drive OEM approvals for products to be used within their vehicles
Develop and maintain technical presentation material for the purpose of communicating product application information to the customer and sales agents.
Act as liaison between Sales and Product Engineering to initiate technical concept proposal development
Champion change requests through Product Engineering to create new product configurations for customer applications and/or to resolve customer issues with current product interfaces.
Review preliminary 3D CAD packaging studies for initial customer concept development and for final configuration fit check prior to sale
Support the development and upkeep of product databases used for configuration management.
Work with sales, order entry, and engineering teams to optimize the process of product configuration selection for customer order fulfillment.
Verify sales orders to be put into the system; Contact customers for details missing and ensure accuracy for sales order entry
Back-up verification of team to ensure accuracy
Keep up to date on OEM approvals, product certifications, and UL listings for current product line.

The position requires strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, electrical controls, automation, and preventive maintenance within an industrial environment. This position exists in a temperature-controlled environment.This position is a weekend shift running from Friday-Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm.
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems used in plant production equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems, sensors, actuators, motors, and drives.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Install, align, and commission new machinery and equipment.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders using a CMMS or manual system.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant safety standards.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance team to improve equipment performance.
Perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend process or equipment improvements.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and production stoppages.
Maintain proper inventory of spare parts and tools.
Train or assist operators on correct equipment operation and basic maintenance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma.

Qualifications
Associates degree or other certification in Construction, Facilities Management or Project Management desired
Plumbing experience
Electrical experience
Groundskeeping experience
Program, modify, and optimize PLC and HMI systems.
Calibrate instrumentation and control devices.
Support automation and robotics systems.
Participate in capital projects and equipment upgrades.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience reading blueprints, work orders, site and floor plans, building codes, zoning laws and surveying.
Able to work in a collaborative environment
Knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures and techniques, site planning and applicable local, state and federal building codes.
Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance and repair tasks.
Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline oriented.
Able to work effectively with subcontractors and local authorities when needed.

Overview

The intern will be assigned a project and mentored by a PMO Team member this winter from approximately January through May.
Responsibilities
Update process documentation aligned with the Product Phase Gate process
Assist with standardization of program management templates and workflows
Update Smartsheet-based reporting dashboards for program status
Support PMO-led training workshops with assisting in presentation & material development
