    Job Description At Bulkmatic you are more than just a truck driver. Home Time: In the Kansas City area our drivers are expected to be Home Most Nights our drivers currently average 1-2 nights out every other week. Drivers in this area do primarily LOCAL work. When a driver goes out overnight, Bulkmatic provides a hotel room and a meal allowance. There is some weekend work required at this location. Pay: Kansas City Drivers are now averaging between $90,000 - $100,000 per year. We are offering a $3000 Bonus for new drivers at this location.Ask our Recruiters about the Weekly Safety BONUS!! About the Job: Being a driver for Bulkmatic is a more physical job than driving for many other companies. Two-thirds of your time will be driving. The rest of the time will be loading, unloading using the pneumatic systems and interacting with customers. We have extensive training on our safety procedures and the pneumatic equipment. No Pneumatic Experience Required. Position Summary: Driving a tractor-trailer between customer locations to deliver and pick up freight. Operators who have recently transferred from another state must produce a copy of the former license or provide license information for verification from that state. Drivers will need to provide information on all licenses held within the previous 36 months. • No record of citation or conviction of any DUI / OWI or Reckless Driving within the previous 5 years. • Must have and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). • Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen. • Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen. Primary Responsibilities Load and unload freight on trailers using a motorized forklift, pallet jack or manually in compliance with state and federal DOT guidelines. Use various loading techniques, such as loading tight or cross loading. Transport self and/or freight continuously throughout the service center on non-forgiving surfaces. Utilize Dock Yard Management System to consistently monitor freight shipment locations throughout the service center. Read and interpret shipping labels. Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports and exception forms.
