Position: CYBERSECURITY SYSTEMS ENGINEER III Responsibilities: The Cybersecurity Engineer works with Systems Engineering personnel to integrate official cybersecurity requirements and best practices into the development of networked and stand-alone Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems. Specific tasks and responsibilities include: * Develop and review cybersecurity requirements for Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems. * Review, interpret, and develop cybersecurity policies for submarine HM&E systems. * Adapt new and existing cybersecurity guidance to submarine environments, implementing effective security strategies and solutions. * Communicate effectively with executive leadership, engineers, and technicians. * Assess and document the security posture of IT and PIT systems using approved tools and methodologies. * Collaborate with Systems and Security Engineers to develop effective and resilient mitigation strategies for system vulnerabilities and issues. * Review and interpret findings from system scans, tabletop exercises, and penetration testing events to provide actionable feedback to system engineers and developers. * Respond to and collaborate with assigned reviewers to address requests for additional information and clarification. Certifications Preferred: * Security+ * CASP+ * CISM * CISSP * Linux+ Required Experience & Skills: * Minimum of six (7) years of full-time information security engineering experience. * Experience working with Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems. * Experience interpreting, developing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies and procedures. * Actively pursuing or possessing CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or an equivalent certification. * Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. * Experience implementing and assessing security control frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53/53A, ISO 27001). * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
