Your main tasks The Production Planner oversees the material release process for the assembly and manufacturing processes supporting Internal Manufacturing, Preassembly, and Projects. This is a liaison between the design phase and the operations phase of the projects. Key Responsibilities: Purchasing Support: * Forecast MI parts to meet project lead times. * Review quarterly ocean shipments and adjust for unforeseen demand. * Recommend blanket order quantities to mitigate lead times. * Coordinate with Customer Service on procurement cycles for sales orders. Project Management Support: * Participate in scheduling meetings to consolidate procurement dates. * Assist with inventory picking and calling to support build schedules. * Collaborate with expeditor and inventory team to ensure parts availability. * Communicate schedule deviations and updates to project teams and suppliers. Internal Machine Shop: * Communicate upcoming release schedules and workload. * Create and release work orders; recommend internal vs. external fabrication. * Maintain capacity planning and update ERP work order dates. * Prioritize work orders to meet project and customer deadlines.
