General Information:
Job title: Clinic RegisteredNurse (RN)
Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per week; Monday-Friday, scheduled between 7:00am and 4:30pm.
Weekend rotation: No weekends
Holiday rotation: No holidays
Position Summary:
The RegisteredNurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist providers with patient-related needs before, during, and after care; make sure their needs have been met in a timely, efficient, and caring manor.
Room patients for their appointments.
Assist with procedures, dressing changes, DME supplies, etc.
Clean and stock rooms.
Chart prep and paperwork, including prior authorizations, FMLA, CMN forms, etc.
Triage and set up extra care at other facilities for the patients.
Obtain lab specimens, perform lab competencies and quality controls on a regular basis; perform lab tests run at the clinic.
Start IVs, change catheters, perform wound care, etc.
Perform "Welcome to Medicare and Medicare Annual Wellness" visits in conjunction with the providers.
Coordinate care for chronic patients and monitoring anticoagulation.
Travel to other MBMC clinics and Pods to cover as needed.
Assist with patient education upon provider request.
Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
Two-year degree in nursing required. Four-year degree preferred.
Must hold and maintain Wisconsin RegisteredNursing license.
Current BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months.
1+ years of related work experience required.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
Comprehensive nursing skills and knowledge of equipment such as retinal scanners, EKG, etc.
Thorough understanding of triage.
Understanding of lab procedures and equipment.
Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
