Position Description:
Plan, organize and deliver a developmentally appropriate preschool education program based on the individual cognitive, motor, social and emotional needs of children enrolled. Manage the classroom to create a positive, healthy and safe learning environment. Implement the Agency's early childhood education curriculum. Ensure the implementation and maintenance of Agency policies and procedures, Head Start standards, and State of Colorado child care licensing requirements. Provide direction and leadership to classroom staff. Partner with the Center Director, Head Start Director, Education Compliance Coordinators, and other staff to manage Agency activities. Overtime may be required on evenings or weekends based on Agency needs.

Responsibilities for the Preschool Teacher include:
Lead a classroom of up to 17 preschoolers ages three to five
Co-Lead the teaching team of two other classroom staff
Work closely as a classroom teaching team to individualize the curriculum to meet the children's needs
Support children's social and emotional needs
Complete developmental assessments and screenings
Complete home visits (twice per year) and parent teacher conferences
Work as a team to complete parent/teacher conference and home visits
Encourage and support family involvement in the classroom
Create a safe and healthy learning environment
Supervise the safety of the children in care
Supervise volunteers and student interns as applicable
Communicate with coworkers and families in a warm and professional manner

The Sr. Safety Coordinator assists the Project Manager, Division Safety Manager, and leadership in enforcing and regulating all safety procedures to ensure full compliance with safety requirements across field operations and facilities by managing and coordinating all division safety activities.
Position Details
Tours and inspects small to mid-size job sites to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Reports concerns to safety management and ensures enforcement of OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Documents safety inspections, identifies hazardous areas or procedures, and recommends corrective actions. Ensures non-compliance issues are corrected within designated timeframes.
Maintains all required site documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports, and training logs. Uses collected data to track trends, injury rates, and develop future loss control strategies. Implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Provides emergency response to employees as needed. Participates in and documents accident and injury investigations and submits required information to regulatory agencies.
Assists in developing training materials and coordinates or facilitates employee safety training as necessary.
Trains less-experienced safety personnel as needed.
Participates in ad-hoc safety projects.
Attends owner and client meetings as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Environmental Applied Sciences, or a related discipline preferred.
3+ years of experience in a related field, including employee training experience.
Experience in safety management preferred.
Certifications in CPR and First Aid required.
OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, and OSHA 40hr training required.
OSHA 500, CHST, or ASP certifications required.
Excellent working knowledge of health and safety management systems; OSHA CFR 1926 standards or relevant state construction safety regulations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Strong customer service, organizational, and project management skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online access to OSHA resources.

Requirements
Required and preferred qualifications for the Center Program Director:
* AA/BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or related field OR
* AA/BA/BS in non-related field along with 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education from a regionally accredited college or university (BA/BS preferred)
* Must have a CDEC Center Director Qualification
* Compliance with other regulatory requirements as applicable
* Minimum two years' experience in a supervisory position in an early childhood setting (three to five years preferred)
* Working knowledge CO Child Care licensing standards
* Experience working in a Head Start or Early Head Start program (preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Reliable vehicle and valid State of Colorado drivers license and evidence of current automobile insurance with at least the minimum Colorado State liability requirements
* Pass CBI & FBI background check, post-employment medical examination and drug screen
* Flexibility to work an alternating schedule that will include opening (7:15am) and closing (5:30pm) center hours
