Responsibilities for the Preschool Teacher include: Lead a classroom of up to 17 preschoolers ages three to five Co-Lead the teaching team of two other classroom staff Work closely as a classroom teaching team to individualize the curriculum to meet the children's needs Support children's social and emotional needs Complete developmental assessments and screenings Complete home visits (twice per year) and parent teacher conferences Work as a team to complete parent/teacher conference and home visits Encourage and support family involvement in the classroom Create a safe and healthy learning environment Supervise the safety of the children in care Supervise volunteers and student interns as applicable Communicate with coworkers and families in a warm and professional manner Note: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the job.
