Key Responsibilities:

Summary
Bus Company Holdings US, LLC (dba Coach USA), a motorcoach transportation company, is looking for a full-time Director of Training with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in their area of expertise or in the transportation or logistics sector. The Director of Training is responsible for overseeing the training and development of bus drivers. This role involves planning, coordinating and conducting training programs to ensure high standards of performance. The Director must also monitor and evaluate bus drivers, maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have worked in the transit sector developing and administering training programs required by the FTA, has strong leadership skills and a passion for training.
Responsibilities:
* Design and implement training programs for new and returning bus operators
* Develop and improve safety management policies, procedures and programs
* Lead and deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel training for new and existing drivers
* Ensure all training meets or exceeds DOT, FMCSA, and state-specific requirements
* Conduct evaluations, ride-alongs, and performance assessments to ensure driver competency
* Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation
* Collaborate with Safety, Operations, and HR teams to support driver onboarding and retention
* Provide remedial training and coaching following incidents or policy violations
* Stay current on transportation regulations and update training materials accordingly
Requirements:
* Commercial driving experience and/or relevant experience
* Must be able to communicate effectively
* Strong leadership and organizational skills
* Must demonstrate a satisfactory driving record
* Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and school transportation safety standards

Qualifications
What You'll Need:
At least 18 years old with 2 years of driving experience, OR 19 years old with 1 year of driving experience.
A valid driver's license and good driving record.
A reliable personal vehicle with insurance.
A working smartphone.
A positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability.
