Duties of the quality control technician:
Pull samples from the production floor and monitor quality

The Quality Assurance Technologist serves as senior QA technical resource and liaison between departments, who reports directly to the QA Supervisor and dotted line to the QA Manager. The critical technical functions of the position are to assist the QA Management to execute projects, develop, implement, maintain, provide training on and ensure effectiveness of site food safety and quality functions. The individual must have a quality conscious attitude with emphasis towards a teamwork approach to accomplish project goals and implement solutions to problems. The individual will work independently, be able to multitask, detail oriented, and have good decision-making skills based on the quality process from the beginning of manufacturing to the end. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform routine raw material and finished product QA/C functions as assigned by QA Management, which include but are not limited to the following:
Process audit Laboratory QA/C testing and equipment calibration Product sensory evaluation Execute non-conformance product protocol (i.e., Hold)
Assure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout all operations and processes by conducting process/system audits, developing and implementing corrective actions.
Assist SQF Practitioner to ensure SQF certification compliance by performing validation audit, updating and developing food safety protocols
Collect, review, interprets, verify and analyze process QA/C data to identify process improvement opportunities.
Participate in departmental and cross-functional continuous improvement projects as assigned by QA Manager.
Assist QA Management to determine root causes for food safety and quality related issues, develop and implement corrective action plans.
Assist QA Management to generate and to issue food safety and quality reports.
Serve as senior technical resource for QA Technicians and other Operations personnel.
Train new QA Technicians as required by QA Management.
Perform other relevant duties assigned by QA Management.
Actively participate to assure cross-functional issues are resolved and site concerns are addressed.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent
BS degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology or other related technical field.
2 - 3 years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing or related fields
Strong working knowledge of common food QA/C laboratory methods.
Strong working knowledge HACCP and pre-requisite programs.
Demonstrated working knowledge of current SQF Food Safety Program, BRC certification, or other GFSI certification requirements.
Hands-on GMP / Food Safety / Quality System audit experience.
Familiar with current food regulatory requirements and standards such as those of cGMP
Demonstrates problem solving skills.
Able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing; demonstrate ability to write effective technical procedures and reports; bilingual in English / Spanish is preferred.

Inspects and oversees all production line inspections of all finished goods manufactured in the production area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the Batch Ticket Checklist for the following: Clearing area of previous job materials; correct packing materials on the floor for the job; encoding devices are set correctly for lot code and/or expiration date; set-up fill weights are in spec; label height is correct and signed-off label placement standard is nearby; all retain samples have been collected and taken to the Q.C. lab.
Check the Batch Ticket Bill of Materials/Component Sheet to be sure all parts are accounted for and that they are correct. This includes comparing Item Numbers and Item Description to carton labeling and the individual packaging components.
Check the filling equipment cleaning log to be sure it was updated when the last product was removed and cleaned.
Inspect at the first finished goods produced to be sure they look perfect. If the finished goods represent an item that we have not produced before it needs to be approved.
Q.C. Inspection Records. All out of specification results or defects should be circled and adequate notes of all follow-up action noted in the Job History Notes.
Q.C. Inspections should be completed four times an hour of run time. Run time includes additional packing, lot coding or labeling operations completed after off -line filling operations.
Look at finished goods for any/all defects as noted on the A.C. Inspection Records.
Report any/all problems to the Shift Lead immediately.
If there is a problem, ask the Machine Operator and/or Line Coordinator to stop the process immediately so the problem can be evaluated and corrected. This also prevents unnecessary or excessive rework.
Follow-up on defect problems by examining finished foods to be sure the problem has truly been corrected.
Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation without posing a direct threat to the individual or others.

Position Summary: The
Production Technician
will be involved in all activities related to a goal-directed Shift Team, to achieve CSC goals and highest standards of Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, Cost and Production during his/her shift, with a particular responsibility for general team support. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in work area
Achieve conformance to production goals, product quality and cost

Writing or updating program manuals, visual standards, and reference materials.

Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Technician to support our daily manufacturing operations. Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Technician to support our daily manufacturing operations. This role helps ensure every product meets our quality standards by supporting the systems that keep our output consistent for customers. The Quality Technician will work closely with on-site Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to identify issues, assist with corrective actions, and reduce variation in our processes. This position plays a key role in maintaining reliable, repeatable production and ensuring compliance with both customer and internal standards.
What You'll Do:
* Perform routine quality checks, measurements, and visual inspections to ensure products create exceptional experiences for our customers
* Support on-site manufacturing quality process control activities and maintain accurate documentation
* Assist in maintaining quality records, equipment logs, and inspection documentation to support consistent production and compliance
* Work directly with local Production, QA, and Engineering teams to provide data and observations during root cause analysis (RCA/CAPA) efforts
* Monitor visual and dimensional product characteristics, especially color consistency, and promptly communicate discrepancies to supervisors
* Collect, organize, and report quality and process data for trend analysis and continuous improvement
What You'll Need to Have:
Required:
* Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience in quality
* 0-1 years of experience in a production, quality, or manufacturing support role
* Working knowledge of basic quality tools (control charts, check sheets, 5 Whys, basic FMEA concepts)
* Ability to perform accurate measurements, visual inspections, and data collection
* Proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel and basic data analysis techniques
* Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred:
* Experience with visually critical characteristics such as color consistency
* Exposure to quality audits, feedback loops, or process verification activities
* Familiarity with ISO standards or retail/consumer product compliance

Compensation:

Troubleshoot print and bill of materials problems in cooperation with Engineering and production staff

Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part, finished material, and products, ensuring conformance to specifications
Test finished products for paint quality and thickness, welding quality, dimensions, fit, blast profile, and appearance
Perform standard inspection tests including air testing welds, and magna-flux testing
Route product for re-work
Complete all required records and paperwork including, but not limited to, inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders
Process purchase damage numbers when incorrect material is received
Ensure finished product is packaged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportation
Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standard
Communicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and quality
Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
Make recommendations regarding safe working methods
