Safely and efficiently handles and packs converted material into shipping cases, picks up finished goods from conveyor, fills and stacks case uniformly ensuring proper count, stack pattern and fit. Ensures efficient and proper sealing as case moves through tape machine; maintains tape machine and reports any issues to supervisor and submit work orders to the maintenance department as needed. Safely and securely stacks cases on pallet and ensures proper tags are securely fastened to completed pallets. Regularly rotates through different responsibilities and on different packing lines as instructed by Supervisor or Lead; assists with packing, stacking and/or feeding product through other converting machines or shrink wrap machines as assigned. The operation specialist will have daily duties, fill in for absences and assist in other areas as needed, all while casting the vision of Mercer Landmark's mission, goals, and values. Responsibilities: Daily start up and/or shutdown of the plant. Receive and process incoming ingredients and grain. Ensure facility housekeeping standards are met.
