Millennium Power Services is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CNC and Manual Machinist to join our team in Westfield, MA. As a Machinist, you will play a key role in our production process, utilizing your expertise to fabricate precision parts using both manual and CNC machining techniques. Responsibilities:
Setting Up and Operating Machines: Set up and operate both manual and CNC machines, including manual lathes, milling machines, PROTO TRAK Lathes, Milling Machines (PROTO TRAK), and Bridgeport.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Tool Selection and Maintenance: Select the right cutting tools, fixtures, and materials. Monitor machine performance, make necessary adjustments, and perform routine maintenance.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with stringent quality standards and specified tolerances.
Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to discuss project requirements and machining processes.
Safety and Maintenance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and perform routine machine maintenance.
Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities, materials used, time spent on each job, and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience strongly preferred.
Proven experience as a Machinist with a strong understanding of both manual and CNC machining processes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Skilled in setting up and operating both manual and CNC machining equipment.
Mastercam programming experience with Proto Trak control preferred.
Experience with Haas & Doosan multi-axis machines preferred.
Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and dial bores.
Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and machining accessories.
Strong math skills, including geometry.
Knowledge of various metal properties and machinability.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or certification is a plus.
Position Details:
Regular hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Overtime and weekend hours available and required as needed.

Position Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our automation and control engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of PLC and HMI systems to enhance the functionality of our industrial processes. This position requires an individual who is competent in designing, coding, simulating, and testing automated machinery and associated HMI designs within a variety of settings.
Essential Functions:
1. Determined. Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using a variety of programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block.
2. Design, develop, and maintain Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems in coordination with PLC systems.
3. Communicate. Work with automation engineers to design and implement control systems.
4. Debug and troubleshoot PLC and HMI software to ensure optimal system performance.
5. Ownership and caring. Maintain and modify existing systems and provide post-go-live support.
6. Interpret and understand control system and HMI plans and specifications.
7. Ensure all automated systems are in compliance with industry safety standards.
8. Innovation. Coordinate with other team members and departments on project development.
9. Document and maintain PLC and HMI program revisions and updates.
10. Train and guide technical personnel and operators on system use and troubleshooting.
Position Requirements
Requirements, Education and Experience:
1 Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or 4 years related experience.
2. Proven experience as a PLC Programmer, preferably in an industrial setting.
3. Proficient with PLC programming tools such as Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, Siemens
4. Experience with HMI design and development tools.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various departments.
8. Understanding of industrial processes, machinery and control systems.
9. Willingness to travel to project locations when necessary
10. Compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
11. Authorized to work in the U.S.
