shift Material Handler 1 to join our Appliance Weld team within the Transportation & Infrastructure (Pole) team. The Material Handler 1 is responsible for the identification and location of specific component parts and delivering the materials/products to their intended locations.

Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Thursday 5am - 3pm

As a Material Handler 1, you will:
Uses a crane, hoist, forklift, or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as required
Enters job data in the production tracking system
Inspects material handling equipment and lifting devices
Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and band bundles together using banders
Properly organizes and stores material
Verifies/Counts parts moved to match paperwork for inventory accuracy
Transacts material moves using barcode readers
Participates and supports Continuous Improvement initiatives
Maintains 5S guidelines
Executes the daily plan to keep material flowing to satisfy the schedule
Reads blueprints to identify parts
May locate material from the traveler, which may include the shaft, bases, bands, couplings, arm plates, etc. which may be geographically in different locations
Manages the flow of material based on the leader's direction
Identifies and initiates corrective actions (NCM) to improve BOM and inventory accuracy
Prioritizes and expedites material through Leads and Operators
Maintains organization of products and raw materials
Performs work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements

Role qualifications as a Material Handler 1:
Preferred candidates will have experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience operating overhead cranes safely
Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English
Skill to accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devices
Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications
Ability to perform basic shop math functions
Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in English
Ability to electronically record production information
Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team
Adapt to changing work priorities
Able to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or procedures

Job Summary:

Ensures safe material handling and operation of forklift
Transports raw and other materials to machine operators, and in-process material to other departments as needed

Assists in unloading raw materials received from vendors and in loading finished product into semi-trailers for transport to customers as needed.
Enter receipts into the ERP system.

Primary Responsibilities
Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks, and storage areas.
Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly.
Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items.
Ensures parts are properly labeled upon receipt and inspection.
Maintains all receiving paperwork
Verifies count and condition on BOL and packing lists
Files receiving paperwork for future reference.
Notes any damage on incoming paperwork and starts the claim process
Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.
Reports any problems with materials or transportation to supervisor.
Manages and piles drums, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.
Performs other related duties as requested.

Must be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hand and arm length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

The Material Handler position is an individual contributor in the Elkhart facility. This person must be a highly driven individual that will operate material handling equipment including machines like cranes, forklift, shag truck, and other material handling equipment. Duties and responsibilities
Prioritize the processing of Finished Goods, Order Fulfillment, Data Entry, and shipping.
Interface with various departments and customers (Customer Service, Fab Operations, Engineering, Finance, FedEx, Nippon).
Routine inventory cycle counting.

Organize, Ship in orderly manner.

Your Role & Responsibilities * Loading and unloading trailers and tankers * Operating electronic scales, filling product into various sized containers, blending product, labeling containers, and palletizing product. * Operate a lift truck. * May be responsible for driving the yard spotter truck and positioning trailers as needed.
* May have to manually maneuver full 55-gallon drums weighing several hundred pounds.
* The warehouse employee is outdoors from 10% to 75% of the time. Including the extreme weather conditions that can occur.

Description of Primary Accountability or Responsibilities:
Operates company owned or leased bulk or packaged trucks over 20 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations. Perform tasks safely and in a manner consistent with Nexeo Plastics procedures. Communicates effectively to internal team members and external customers. Must be medically certified to operate a commercial motor vehicle per 49 CFR 390.5, except as provided in 391.67. Must be able to safely work with load securing devices.
Position Responsibilities
* Operate company owned and leased trucks over 20 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations of bulk or packaged goods.
* Perform required pre-trip, during and post-trip vehicle inspections and provide required reports.
* Monitor hours of service accurately.
* Provide outstanding customer service during the delivery and pick up operations.
* Assist customers with questions or problems attend to customer needs.
* Ensure delivered goods correspond to products identified on the bill of lading.
* Maintain all required certifications required by the D.O.T, OSHA and company safety programs.
* Maintain and protect all company property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
* During loading and unloading process check weights of shipment and monitor distribution weight to legal road limits.
* Ensures material is properly and safely loaded and unloaded from vehicle for either bulk or packaged delivery.
* Check material for damage and quantity discrepancies.
* Engage appropriate Nexeo Plastics team member if any discrepancies exist.
* Review paperwork to ensure transport of material is authorized and in compliance.
* Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
* Attend and participate in training meetings.
* Perform duties and tasks in a manner consistent with the business responsibilities of a Nexeo Plastics employee.
* Operate forklift to pick material, store and stage material as needed.
* Bulk off load material from either bulk tank trucks or rail cars using a forklift or a pallet jack or by moving and connecting 50 lb. hoses between the storage vehicle and piping system in load rack as needed.
Education:
* High School Diploma or GED
* Possess the proper CDL with all applicable tanker endorsements and clean driving record
Experience:
* Experience loading and unloading shipments for delivery
* Forklift experience
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with clients in a professional manner
Skills:
* Strength: Must be able to lift, pull or push 55 lbs. Must be able to sit and operate a motor vehicle for prolonged periods of time. (e.g., bagged material on pallet jack).
* Climbing or Balancing: Must frequently be able to ascend and descend ladder to vent bulk tanker, or access bulk loading area. Walking / Running / Stooping / Kneeling / Crouching / Crawling. Must frequently be able to kneel or crouch to inspect vehicle.
Compensation Pay Range
$31.31 - $34.22

Member of warehouse operations team. Delivers parts and finished goods to and from the various Cirrus facilities in a Cirrus truck. Follows a daily trucking schedule to ensure parts are delivered in a timely manner. Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and aircraft parts in an aircraft manufacturing environment. Reports to Cirrus Warehouse Supervisor.
Job Duties:
Driving delivery trucks to and from Cirrus facilities.
Efficiently managing multiple requests.
Unpacks, examines, counts and labels incoming material.
Records receipts and reports discrepancies.
Compares and matches paperwork such as packing slips and certifications with purchase orders.
Transports goods and may utilize material handling equipment and vehicles.
Performs receiving, put away, picking, packing and shipping of goods.
Ensure proper product handling and storage to prevent abuse, misuse, damage or deterioration.
Obtain, prepare aircraft parts for shipment to the Aftermarket customer base
Obtain, prepare aircraft parts for delivery to the production floor, convey in a timely fashion
Maintain an inventory control and management system, including work order closing
Support all facility regulatory and safety codes
Maintain inventory accuracy and accessibility
DOT Certification required (able to acquire at time of hire)
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver's license a must.
Aviation related technical degrees preferred, not required
Warehouse operations experience preferred, not required
Ability to operate and utilize handheld inventory management scanner required
Ability to operate computers with the Windows operating system
Knowledge on aircraft/parts is a plus
