Overview: A Millwright or Industrial Mechanic, is a skilled professional who understands the operations and mechanisms of industrial plant equipment and responsible for the routine scheduled maintenance and repairs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Dismantles, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical and mechanical controls and devices on upsetters, shears, blasters, cranes, conveyors, extrusion presses, PLC s and other related equipment. Installs and troubleshoots motors, drivers, starters and IO/circuits. Performs building maintenance. Installs and maintains electrical devices, compressed air, and natural gas within the facility. Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment within the facility. Applies safe operating procedures during the performance of work. Completes written records and maintain logs as required. Proper use and operation of materials, tools, and supplies. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures. Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures. Installs robot and selects program. Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit.
