We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Millwright with our Chemical Manufacturing Facility located in Wichita, Kansas.

Essential Job Duties :

Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.

Monitor condition of rotating machinery utilizing parameters including vibration, temperature, pressures, flows and currents. Must be able to take field vibration readings, and understand basic data.

Understand and assess the daily operation of various types of equipment including centrifuges, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, conveyors, screw feeders, blowers and pumps. Based on assessment, provide recommendations to improve reliability.

Maintain equipment to design specifications including, but not limited to, centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps & compressors, fans, gear reducers/increasers & other mechanical equipment (valves, operators, testing tools). Replace pump seals, mechanical seals, pump packing. Provide proper alignment for all rotating equipment.

Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and troubleshoot problems. Determine material needs, sequence of operations, and job methods including the use of a computer for storing and using information for preventive/predictive maintenance.

Be familiar with SAP, RMP, warehouse parts management, design specifications, and applicable MI procedures.

Performs work associated with fabrication, assembly, disassembly and repair of vessels, movement and set-up of equipment.

High School Diploma or GED

A minimum of 3 years mechanical experience in millwright activities in an industrial environment

Ability and willingness to serve as member of Emergency Response Team.

Must be able to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mechanical drawings and follow mechanical specifications.

Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed to maintain a 24/7 operating plant.

Ability to read, speak, and write English.

High proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

Must possess valid driver’s license.

Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.

Additional Desired Qualifications

Good working knowledge of SAP.

Manual lathe operation experience.

Millwright FULL-TIME
$36/hr, plus $1000 new hire bonus, see details below
-Repairs, troubleshoots, installs and moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
-Reads repair documents, manuals, blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
-Dismantles machines, using manual, hydraulic, pneumatic, and precision tools of the trade.
-Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, bearings, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand and power tools.
-Constructs foundations for machines, using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
-Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, and other precision tools.
-Assembles machines, bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to the foundation or other structure, using hand and power tools.
-Mechanically repairs cranes (overhead, mobile, rail, and track).
-Repairs mobile equipment (rail, rubber tire and track driven).
-Performs Arc welding.
-Track work/back-up roll bearing maintenance and repairs using our maintenance management system.

Shift start: 6:00AM or 6:00PM
Shift length: 12 hours
4 days on, 4 days off, rotating day to night shifts. Weekends and holidays included.

Journeyman Level Millwright or equivalent experience Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings Ability to set up, tear down, and rebuild machinery and equipment Ability to operate mobile and bridge cranes Ability to operate forklift Ability to use all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches, all pipe fitting tools and equipment; i.e. sockets and ratchets, hoists, both electric and manual; jackhammer; cutting torches; welding equipment. Basic math skills, some exposure to Geometry, and Trigonometry preferred Valid driver's license required

International Paper will soon be accepting applications for a Manufacturing Mechanic. The successful candidate must be proficient in industrial maintenance preventive work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Troubleshoot and perform equipment and facility repairs; Install new equipment and/or modifications of existing equipment; Perform routine predictive and preventive maintenance on all equipment within the facility; Operate the computerized maintenance management system for requisitioning materials, work orders, inventory, schedules and preventive maintenance; Perform and assist in equipment changeovers and/or start-ups; Keep accurate records of work performed and all materials used; Participate in company-provided training programs; Assure that all duties are performed safely and in compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety requirements; Comply with all company policies as well as local, state and federal laws/regulations.

Qualifications include but are not limited to: High School Diploma or GED; Minimum of four (4) years of industrial maintenance experience is highly preferred with working knowledge of process, utilities, packaging and other manufacturing equipment; Must have ability to read blueprints and to revise drawings for modifications; Must have ability to take field measurements and provide sketches for fabrication; Ability to perform independently and in teams; Willingness and ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and overtime as required; Proven safety record and working knowledge of industrial safety procedures; Must be capable of wearing all required personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety toe shoes, flame resistant clothing, face shield, dust mask, cotton/leather gloves, etc.; Ability to perform heavy physical industrial work to include, but not limited to: Stand/walk constantly for an 8-12 hour work shift; Constant bending/stooping/squatting; constant use of hands and hand/finger dexterity; Constant arm reaching/extending; Effective oral and written skills are necessary; Ability to be part of a multi-functional/multi-skilled maintenance organization with a willingness to flow to work as required by plant production priorities; Working knowledge of MS Office, Word and Excel; Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) primarily SAP.
