Your Role on Our Team The VP of Operations is a senior leadership position in the Milwaukee Tool Power Tool Accessories organization. This role reports to the Group President for Professional Accessories and is responsible for setting the strategic direction and meeting operational goals for five domestic accessories manufacturing sites. A successful candidate must lead with strategic clarity, drive cross-functional alignment, and deliver measurable outcomes across safety, talent, and the entire supply chain. In a dynamic environment, success also hinges on clear communication, responsiveness, and a strong commitment to culture and team development. This individual will be a strong people manager with the ability to effectively manage multiple layers of management across a highly time-sensitive, multi-site network. You will be empowered to effect change through these duties and responsibilities: Lead and drive all aspects of multi-site manufacturing, including developing and managing leadership teams, defining and articulating strategy and vision, and optimizing total costs, quality, on-time delivery, new product introductions, and capital investment. Critically assess existing methods and lead changes that are necessary to keep up with overall corporate growth and expansion. Continuously implement improvements to processes, KPIs and dashboards to enhance our operational effectiveness and delivery to customers. Direct and develop the team to deliver continuous improvement of machine and process technology leveraging data analytics and technical experience in design, maintenance, or process engineering to improve OEE and quality. Oversee line transfers and new capital equipment installations to increase capacity and deliver new products and manufacturing technologies. Develop and manage capital, operating, and staffing budgets, ensuring effective oversight of resources, assets, and expenses. Anticipate and proactively manage short and long-term operating plans in response to changes in demand and other external factors to deliver high fill rates to customers. Facilitate candid and solution-oriented dialogue across all levels of leadership to drive alignment, accountability, and operational excellence. Demonstrate the ability to grow leadership skills and talent capacity, focusing on bench strengthening and succession planning Be a role model of the company culture through leadership style, expectation setting, and active coaching. Be an agile and dynamic leader who is flexible and able to change direction as the needs of the business shift. The TOOLS you'll bring with you: Bachelor's degree in operations management or engineering. 15 or more years of strong, stable, progressive on-site operations leadership experience. Experience in advanced manufacturing or process engineering is preferred. Demonstrates a natural curiosity for machine technology and skilled at directing multiple functions to drive machine and process effectiveness. Significant experience supporting new product introductions in a high growth environment. Experience with high volume automated manufacturing utilizing advanced controls for precision parts. This position will be responsible for knowing and implementing all area specific compliance issues, including safety, quality, environmental, and MT/plant policies. This position will contribute to team efforts by participating in continuous improvement projects as required. This position will also require working with maintenance to complete monthly PM's. Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area. Housekeeping- follow all housekeeping policies and schedules. Understand and demonstrate how to use all gauges in the cell. Understand tolerances and how to make offsets on the machine to stay in spec. Utilize quality tools in the cell ie SPC, OEE, etc. Operate a minimum of one machine in the department efficiently (85% or better) Perform set up (change overs) following procedures in a timely manner. Troubleshoot equipment, including automated operations, controls, and sensors. Assist maintenance department in preventative maintenance responsibilities. Participate in updates of preventative maintenance schedules. Complete routine equipment and product inspections and complete required documentation. Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs. Provide feedback to Maintenance and Supervisor as needed. Inform supervisor or Department Manager about processes or equipment requiring attention. Recommend and participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity, and quality, especially those related to corrective actions. Complete other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor, including working other shifts as necessary. Adhere to 5S in the department. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills. Able to interpret technical data, including drawings and OMS. Must be proficient in the use of common inspection and test equipment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required. Education and Experience Requirements High School or GED diploma required. Technical Certification in a Mechanical, Electrical, Automation preferred. The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead a team of electrical engineers to support high volume battery portfolio. You will be responsible for strategic roadmap planning, resource allocation and scope management, oversight of technical reviews / design decisions, and process improvement / change management. This includes working in a team environment with supply chain, project management, firmware engineering, mechanical engineering, and global manufacturing operations. This position will sit at our Headquarters in Brookfield, Wisconsin. You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: Lead a small to medium size team of electrical engineers in the design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics for a variety of battery projects. Mentor and coach the team in engineering best practices including Work Breakdown Structure, root cause analysis, circuit design, and battery/PCBA manufacturing. Lead the team to qualify alternate electronic components, platform, and contract manufacturers to maintain supply chain stability. Identify and execute Value Engineering opportunities to optimize cost of existing products. Ensure production and warranty/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner, while keeping stakeholders informed. Organize and align across functional teams to develop a robust product support strategy roadmap. Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization's needs. Effectively communicate and motivate up, down and across the organization to a diverse range of technical and non-technical team members. Quickly, effectively, and candidly frame-up and escalate business risks/opportunities to senior leadership. Ensure the team is given the time and resources required to succeed by creating and managing robust project roadmaps and resource plans with converged project scope. Champion and drive new processes and procedures to meet the needs of a changing business. Ensure proper risk analysis is performed on proposed changes to existing products.
