POSITION - Maintenance Tech - Manufacturing PlantLOCATION - Hegins, PAHOURLY RATE - $24-27 per hour - Plus $ per hour for SD - Based on experience SHIFT - Day Shift - Weekends - Friday - Sunday - 5am to 5pmJOB RESPONSBILITIES:- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. - Administers general preventative maintenance duties utilizing the maintenance system. - Detects malfunctions in machinery, diagnoses problems and repairs machinery and equipment. - Ability to work independently and safely with limited supervision. - Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. - Maintains and troubleshoots frame welders, automated and manual lines ( rollers, belts, motors, and chains), facility equipment such as lighting, air compressor, overhead doors, etc. - Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation. - Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality, including Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements. - Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. - Using MIG and TIG welding tools and techniques to repair and maintain equipment. - May be required to perform other maintenance duties and functions or assist in other departments as needed depending on the needs of the business.#MITERheigns JOB QUALIFICATIONS: - Technical or Trade school degree preferred, or a combination of a High School Diploma or plus 2 years of experience in a maintenance occupation in a manufacturing environment. - Basic understanding of industrial electricity - Working knowledge of energy sources for each piece of utility equipment in assigned area (electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic, etc.). This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools. Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards. May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks. Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards. Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings. Updates records and reviews CMMS history. Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems. Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development. Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development. Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required: High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program. Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs. Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate May be required to travel. Your Role on Our Team Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures and perform preventive maintenance while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings. Repair Injection molding machines, robots, fixtures, and other auxiliary equipment related to the injection molding process. Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment. Identify and requisition needed replacement parts and supplies. Work with other mechanics, production personnel, engineers and outside vendors and/or consultants as necessary. Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance. Complete repairs timely and safely. Report repairs at end of shift. Complete required paperwork, documenting parts and material usage. Understand and follow plant safety practices and safe machine operation. The TOOLS you'll bring with you: High School Diploma or GED 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision. Ability to read and understand hydraulic & electrical schematics. Ability to troubleshoot automation PLC controls. Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, welders, and other shop equipment. General knowledge of safe working practices including Lock-Out/Tag Out. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interpret complex situations and execute actions and plans.
