The Patient Access Representative is responsible for managing patient appointments, patient information, and payment processing through accurate and timely data entry. The Dental Assistant assists with supporting the dental office's day-to-day functions and Providers' clinical treatment. Helps the dentist examine and treat patients and assists with various chair-side, clinical, and clerical support functions. Assists with preparing operatory and patients for dental procedures and monitors patient comfort. Reviews Provider's schedule to ensure operational readiness for scheduled visits/procedures. I assist patients needing help, such as the handicapped, pediatric, elderly, etc. I work with the Provider to optimize patient flow and efficiency. * Compliance: Assists with monitoring proper infection control techniques, performs daily/weekly and monthly infection control procedures, and logs findings. * Teamwork: Assists co-workers as needed and when requested at all MHSI locations. * Training/Continuing Education: Completes expanded duties skill checklist within four months of start date. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned. The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in promoting community access to healthcare services by conducting outreach and assisting individuals with enrollment in health insurance programs. This position aims to increase awareness of MHSI's services, facilitate access to care, and support patients in navigating the healthcare system. Provide direct dental services to the clinic's patients in accordance with the general policies and standards of performance established by the clinic. Elicit detailed patient histories and conduct a complete dental assessment. Perform dental care and treatment program including diagnosis, preventive, operative, prosthetic, endodontic, pedodontics, surgical, and oral pathologic procedures. The Billing Specialist is responsible for retrieving all billable charges, timely submission of claims, follow-up on unpaid claims, and answering patient questions regarding their statements within the OCHIN Epic System. This position is responsible for all payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, commercial insurance, workers' compensation, and private pay. The Billing Specialist's role is focused on maximizing revenues and cash flow by completing these tasks promptly and efficiently. Maintain a designated level of collections using payments and complete follow-through for all denied or rejected claims.
