Job Purpose: The purpose of the Inside Sales Professional (ISP)-MMI is to identify and serve the needs of the customers at Mingledorff's Managed Inventory (“MMI”) locations. This position will assist the MMI customers in obtaining products and product information while providing excellent customer service and filling the many needs of MMI customers. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Process MMI customer orders received in person (at the sales counter) or by phone, fax and E-Commerce to include Company transfers and delivery request Locate parts, equipment and supplies for our MMI customers from various sources. Support long term business relationships with the MMI customers to help promote sales growth and gain acceptance Assist in warehouse duties, which include pulling MMI customer orders and putting away stock while occasionally operating a forklift Promote new and existing products, upgrades and services to our MMI customers Process Cycle Counts and assist in maintaining accuracy of physical inventory Participate in after-hours On Call and Training classes Work overtime as assigned Work cooperatively with others Comply with all Company policies and procedures Maintain regular, punctual and reliable physical attendance While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may work in environments as cold as 20 degrees or as hot as 105 degrees. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. All the tasks described in these Job Duties and Responsibilities are the essential functions of this job. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years customer service and/or sales experience 2 years' experience in the HVAC industry, preferred Proficient in computers, including MS Office Forklift experience Possess a valid driver's license Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy Qualify under federal and state regulations to drive the vehicle in question Travel Requirement: 5% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry related conferences and training requiring some extended stay Other: This is not an exhausted list of all functions that employee may be required to perform, and employee may be required to perform additional functions. This is a Field Sales Representative position responsible for selling Electronic Services (Moves, Adds and changes) to assigned customer base (geography or account). How you will do it As a Sales Representative you will manage the entire sales process, from uncovering opportunity, developing solution/value proposition, preparing design, creating contract, negotiating terms, closing opportunities, and providing on-going customer service through service delivery. Work with other sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management to meet customer needs Assume Account Representative / Account Management responsibility including the provision and/or coordination of services (installation, customer training, etc.) to assure complete customer satisfaction. Quickly identify and qualify opportunities with excellent sales, presentation, and closing techniques. Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings. Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates. Good organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communications skills and ability to persuade and close sales required. Ability to obtain appropriate licenses required by national, state and local codes. Minimum two years, successful sales or technical experience with fire alarms, security control, and monitoring or similar industry. Or equivalent technical experience and/or education. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering preferred. Ability to obtain NICET certification within the first 12 months of employment Experience working with electrical contractors, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable.
