About the Role:
The Class A CDL Tanker Driver is a critical position responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid cargo across various routes. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure the integrity of the cargo and the safety of the driver and the public. The driver will be expected to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo, ensuring that all procedures are followed to prevent spills and accidents. Ultimately, the success of this role contributes to the overall reliability and reputation of our transportation services in the industry.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 10-12 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:
Operate a specialized vacuum tanker truck to service commercial grease traps.
Drive a set route to visit multiple client locations efficiently and safely.
Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles by DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
Perform pre-and post-trip inspections.
Typical use of hand tools for basic repairs of company bins and equipment.
Maintenance of basic truck equipment and overall cleanliness of equipment.
Utilize electronic logging system for DOT driver logs and as otherwise required.
Maintain paperwork (contamination and service tickets, truck maintenance, etc.) and submit all documentation to the appropriate party.
Regularly communicate with customers and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Communicate with the corporate office/operations team regularly for all service, equipment, and customer service-related issues.
Report all accidents and injuries immediately to the safety manager.
Ability to work flexible hours based on seasonality, up to 60 hours in a 7-day week or 70 hours in 8 days.
Attend and participate in weekly safety calls, trainings, or briefings.
Basic usage of computer and cell phone for training, communication, and expense management
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Class CDL-A in state of residence with a TANKER endorsement.
Familiarity with grease traps and waste pumping is a plus.
Time Management and ability to maintain route consistency.
Communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in operating Manual and Automatic Transmission vehicles.
Experience using an Electronic Logging System, such as People Net
Knowledge of hydraulics is a plus.

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
2+ years of experience in inventory management, customer service, or a related field
Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with inventory or routing software
Possession of an unrestricted valid driver's license required; ability to meet Company driving standards for operating a Company vehicle

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of approximately 45 hours per week, depending on business and customer needs. Additional hours may be required during peak periods. The position is non-exempt, and all overtime is compensated in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position requires regular travel to customer sites, warehouses, and industrial environments. Work involves standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, and other physical activities throughout the day. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required at certain locations.

Typical projects include Transportation Master Plans, Active Transportation Master Plans, Environmental Assessments, Corridor Studies, Preliminary and Detailed Design exercises, and Traffic Impact Studies. In this position, you will assist technical staff in completing project related tasks and your responsibilities will include:
* Completing technical research.
* Analyzing traffic data.
* Conducting site visits for field observations.
* Preparing technical memos and writing reports.
* Attending client meetings and preparing meeting summaries.
* Participating in consultation sessions and public meetings.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Full-time student, studying Civil Engineering, or related field
* Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
* Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset
* Experience with Synchro is an asset
